This fit our fluffy, male, barrel-chested Bernedoodle (95 lbs) very well. Sizing worked as expected, even for a large, deep-chested dog. We tried several different options while in a bit of a desperate situation and weren’t sure what would work best—this one was the clear winner. It did not fit snugly against the surgery site, which allowed the area to breathe. If you need something that applies compression or pressure, this may not be the right option for you, but for protection it worked perfectly. Most importantly, it did an excellent job protecting his surgery site when he couldn’t be directly supervised. It stayed in place and prevented licking or interference, which gave us real peace of mind. Update: Surgery went well. The Vet said this recovery suit is perfect for my dog and to order another one so she has one on while the other is in the laundry. Idk if it runs small or if my dog has just got too much fur. It looks like it’s going to be pretty snug when I attempted to put it on her (because she’s so fluffy). I will ask the Vet if she should have something less form fitting and if they can put it on her after surgery so it will already be on her. Zipper works great. Fabric is soft and it’s made well. I bought this for my 14 month old bloodhound when she got spayed. They run small; she wore a 5x, but it fit perfectly. It was perfectly functional; it stopped her from trying to lick her stitches. These adorable dino pajamas were perfect for my girl’s recovery after her spay surgery. They were thin and breathable, and provided great coverage over her incision, keeping her comfortable and protected. We loved using them at night since she sleeps through and didn’t need to get out of them. One downside is that, because they’re zipper pajamas, we had to completely remove them for bathroom breaks, which was more effort compared to Velcro wrap styles that can just fold back. I bought this recovery suit to put on my rescue dog after her spaying to avoid the dreaded e-collar. I was so relieved. It did everything it said it would. Stretchy, comfortable, would be easy to put on a normally active dog. Our new dog is very hyper when she gets excited so it takes two of us to put it on her. She squirms like a worm being put on a fishhook. Once put on and zipped up, it was great. She was able to pee without it getting on her suit so I was happy. Then I needed to wash it. The directions on the suit stated, "Machine wash cold water - gentle cycle". No problem. I did not put it in the dryer. It faded terribly (which I didn't care about) and shrank (which I definitely cared about). Desperate, I put it back on her although her neckline was pulled down to her shoulder until I could get another suit. Looking back on the description on Amazon, down toward the bottom of the page it states "hand wash only". They need to change the label directions inside the suit if it can only be handwashed. They also need to put it up large letters because I don't buy anything that says "hand wash only", let alone something for my dog to wear. I did take it to the vet for them to put on her before we brought her home thinking she might be a little calmer for them. I got her out to the car before I realized they had put the neck hole at her tail and the tail hole at the her neck so I guess she was as wiggly for them as she is for us. ... show more

Our golden retriever had skin tumors removed and so we needed something to stop her from itching at the surgical spots. This worked great, it was just stretchy enough to make it easy to put on and still let her run around and play catch once she was feeling better. The shark design was super fun, we will probably put it on her just for fun now that she is healed, and the dog did not mind wearing it so it must have been comfortable and easy for her to move around in. ... show more
