I bought a few of these to use after an emergency surgery on my female dog. This one worked best and fit her best. She is a small standard poodle (40ish lbs) with a deep chest, the XL was the size that worked best for her and the design allowed her to do her business without taking it off. I started with the XXL and it was too loose, would work for a larger, longer standard. The zipper made it much easier to take on and off. I bought one that had buttons which I returned and another with a small zipper that I returned because they were to cumbersome to deal with, the first I bought was no zipper, over the head with front leg holes, so much harder to get on the dog. Also, this one allows a female dog to do her business without taking it partially off and hasn't gotten wet when doing so. Much easier than taking on and off.

I purchased two of these suits for my 8-month-old frenchie to wear following her spay surgery so I could switch them out if one needed to be washed. They are great! They are lightweight, easy to put on, and the velcro tabs at the back make it easy for you to roll up the back of the suit for the dog to go potty. For a female dog, you may not have to undo the velcro straps. My dog was able to use the restroom with the straps fastened without the suit getting wet. She is a 20-pound frenchie, so I ordered the medium. It fit well except for being a little snug through the shoulders. I was able to stretch it by hand to give her more room in that area. The suits can be cleaned in the washing machine, but I hung mine up to dry so it wouldn't shrink. My girl hates wearing sweaters, but didn't mind these suits too much and they were much more comfortable than a surgical collar would have been. I highly recommend this product. It is a very comfortable alternative to surgical collars!

I bought this for after my dog’s spay surgery. It fit her well, was easy to undo the bottom part for potty time, and was loose over surgery area so it was protected from scratching. My dog has short legs and didn’t chew her incision area, but she tried to use her back leg to scratch, so this prevented her from scratching the incision. Good quality and looked cute! Highly recommend!

My female black GSD was spayed. She is about 82.5 lbs. We purchased this body suit in 3X so she wouldn't have to use the "cone of shame." She probably could have used a size larger as it kept slipping back and pulling around her shoulders. It does provide good coverage, but it a bit of a struggle to put on. It's not hard, but since it completely unzips along the back, it can be difficult to get it on, especially if your pup is going to fight it. It has velcro at the top and bottom of the zipper line, but it doesn't stay as well as I would have liked in ordered to get the opposite end on. Overall, it does the job and the material is good.

I bought a medium for my 15 pound female Cocker Spaniel and it fits perfectly. This was for her surgery to be spayed. This was on her when I picked her up and she has had it on for the third day now. She has been able to do her potty and pee business without soiling this. The zipper up the back has worked as it should and makes it convenient to put on her. I am very satisfied with this and do recommend.

I used this for my 8 month old female beagle. I had her spayed and the cone was torture for her so I wanted her to relax in comfort. This did the job! I bought a medium size for her and it fit wonderfully. However, after a couple days it got stretched out and she kept rubbing herself against her enclosure so much so that the neck opening ended up under her front legs and slipped off. I thought after washing, it would shrink a little but once she figured she could get it off it only took her a few minutes to wriggle out and then proceed to toss it about like a toy. To the manufacturer, I would suggest making a couple snap closure loops to possibly secure it to the collar in a few places to prevent this from happening, or make less stretchy neck opening, or even make an adjustable neck opening with snap buttons to allow the neck opening to be made smaller. Otherwise, I cant really keep it on her very long, so the chances of me putting it on her just for a little warmth later on after she is healed from surgery is low. This did buy me 3 days of comfort and peace of mind for my dog though, she couldn’t lick her wound and she looked so cute in it. She had no problem going potty, even when it got loose, she never got pee or poop on it. She could also undo the velcro straps herself after the 3rd day by biting and pulling at them. So 3 stars for three days of perfect functionality.

This suit has been perfect for our dog’s needs. Our golden doodle was spayed and we used this for deterring her from licking or scratching the surgery area. She’s a relatively calm dog, so she did really well with wearing it and leaving everything alone. When we left the house and couldn’t bring her, we left this suit on and a donut collar for extra insurance. The suit is very lightweight, like t-shirt material, and it velcros around the back legs like a baby onesie. When she used the bathroom, we just unfastened the Velcro, rolled the suit up her middle, and refastened the velcro until she was finished. Worked perfectly and we never had to remove the suit. She was comfy and didn’t get overheated due to its lighter weight. Highly recommend! Our doodle is very tall and lanky like a poodle, so size 3X worked best for her.
