  • Like the shorter beep noise
So far, so good. They are kind of big and clunky, but the dogs don't seem to mind. I like that the collars are different colors so I know whose dog a and dog b. The beep is much nicer, a short beep beep, better than the long beep of most other collars. The dogs just need a quick reminder not an obnoxious horn. The vibration and shock are both adjustable. I like the remote is small I can put in a pocket. I also like that you can add up to four dogs, but I won't, and that you can set the remote to work on all four dogs at once. So if I want to beep both girls at the same time, I set it to all four. That's more handy than I realized it would be. So far these are working well. The only negative thing is that the rubber covers don't cover the prongs completely, and so my long-haired girl keeps getting hair stuck in the prongs. Also negative is that the prongs screw over a screw rather than have the screw in the bottom of the prongs that screw into a hole. That means that I can't take the prongs off and use the collar by itself for just beeping and vibrating. There would still be two little screws sticking out of the unit and sticking into the dog's neck. I like these better than other collars that we have tried. ... show more

  • Works well but is large
I have used multiple different training collars for my dogs so I have a lot of experience with them. I needed new ones because one of my dogs is extremely stubborn and manages to ignore the old collar even at the highest settings. So far, he seems much more responsive to this collar. I haven't used the shock function yet because I haven't needed to. He responds just to the beep or vibrate now when before he would typically ignore those. I will say, the collar is quite large. Even larger than the previous collar we were using and I thought that one was a little large. Maybe that's why it seems to work better though. Both of my dogs around around 60lbs so its not too large for them but if you have even a medium sized dog, I think this would be too big. I wouldn't recommend for any dog less than 50lbs. Also, I had to trim this collar to size and then it started to fray. I melted the ends to seel them because otherwise the whole collar would have come apart. So keep in mind, if you trim the collar, make sure you take a lighter and just gently melt the ends. ... show more

  • Good but...
I have two dogs and thought that this would be the perfect addition to my training arsenal. Not only do I have my own dogs but I also work as a dog trainer so this isn't the first ecollar I've purchased. Now, I LOVE the digital display on the controller as it makes it very easy to see which dog is selected and what levels are selected. I do wish that the beep had the option for various sound levels but this is so rare to find on ecollars so it isn't a huge deal that it doesn't The customization of the vibration and shock are very nice though as they have a wide range of settings. It does appear to hold true to its water proof claim as one of my dogs love the water and jumped right in the lake with this on before I could stop her and its still working fine. It also charges quick and holds the charge really well. I do want to point out something that could be an issue for some and that is that the box on the collar is very large and bulky, even for an ecollar. I have two border collie mixes and it is almost too big for the smaller one. My other ecollars have a much smaller footprint and shorter prongs as well. I think this would be fine for large dogs but definitely not for small dogs or even some of the daintier medium size dogs. ... show more

  • Easy to use
This is a pretty easy to use system. You have 4 training modes to choose from, giving your dog clear signals. I love that it is adjustable and waterproof. It is nicely made and is working well for us.

  • Initial opinion is Positive.
These were listed at $40 when I ordered them. I've got a new small 15lb puppy and an adult standard schnauzer. Once I added the puppy to the family, he really stirred up a bit of trouble in the house. My adult dog became extremely protective of him, and became a bit aggressive towards people who come to the house. The puppy is a bichon, and is constantly barking, jumping up on people, and beginning to mark (PEE) everywhere. The system has been really helpful with training both dogs to avoid certain behaviors. The beep and the vibrate functions are enough to deter/reprimand the dogs and train for different behavior. I have only once used the shock function on a very low level. The quality of the set seems quite good, especially when considering the price point. Each collar and the remote are rechargeable, which is a nice feature. It is early days, but I am pleased so far. I will update my review in the event that I have any issues or would like to add more praise. ... show more

  • A budget friendly option
The media could not be loaded. We have an adopted lab mix that spent some time on the streets apparently, and normal treat training has not helped once he steps foot outside. So we are hoping the vibration mode here will do the trick, but that remains to be seen. Will update if need be about effectiveness. The build quality of the two collars seems fine, the control unit seems less rugged, and I fear one drop on cement could break it. Takes a long time to charge. Collars are very adjustable to size, getting surprisingly big. Charging cord leaves a lot to be desired, especially the magnetic connection, and length. Controller has a lock to prevent accidental engagement, and built in flash light. Overall it’s about what you’d expect at the price point. ... show more

  • Working well on my dogs
I ordered this Dog shock collar for two dogs from DDZ for my dogs. So far it's working very well. Changing from one dog to another isn't as easy as I would like though. I haven't used the shock function on the dogs as the buzzing and bell are working on them. The receivers are big and heavy and don't fit smaller dogs very well. There are two sizes of prongs and a charging cord included but no charging block. ... show more
