I have a shih tzu terrier mix. She is 12 lbs and I bought the large based on her measurements but it was a little big. I ordered a medium right away and it was delivered next day. It fit so well I bought another medium and I change them out every evening before bed and just toss them in with kitchen towels on hot in my daily laundry. She has never once tried to scratch or lick. It’s 4 days out and the wound is healing nicely. They put the suit on after surgery surgery just before we picked her up. I didn’t even know until that evening that there was no gauze. It was just nice and clean and has been healing well. I don’t even return the large because it did fit her so it was just my preference it would be a little more snug. The best part is that she can use the potty both ways with no mess. No poop smears no wet pee soaked clothing, it stays clean and dry. I’m going to tuck these away and gift them to someone that has a puppy that could use them. They are phenomenal

My pup hates clothes..hates…so I was worried getting her this for her spay. It beats the cone of shame so it was worth a try. I put this on her and she didn’t mind it at all. It was comfortable for her and she seemed to truly enjoy wearing it. She’s 10 lbs and wearing a Large. It’s stretchy with snap buttons on the back that covers her entire body and surgical site. There is a hole where she can pee without taking off the clothing and it worked fine for her. She was able to move around easily and never noticed she was wearing anything. This is definitely worth every cent and washes well without shrinking. Def buy!!

I never had to use her plastic cone. This body suit was perfect and she seemed very comfortable. There is an opening for her to pee but it didn’t open enough. I just took one back leg out. She is 11 pounds and the medium was perfect.

This suit is nice and soft and it fits pretty well on my 12 pound jack Russell. It is a little bit tight, but it has a good amount of stretch to it. Biggest issue is putting it on …my dog is very cooperative, but it was still awkward to put the hind feet in and the front feet before you could snap up the back. There looks like there is some potential for soiling if you leave it on for potty breaks so you would have to take the hind legs out which might be a little bit of a pain. It definitely looks like it would protect the area of the incision for abdominal surgery and the dog would probably not be able to pull it off which they might be able to do with the Velcro ones.

We bought 3 different suits and this brand was the best fit. My dachshund is 10.5 pounds, 15” chest and 14” long. We bought a size medium. Fabric is thin but feels like quality and cool enough for summer. There are quite a few snaps on top so it takes a minute to get on but she is not wiggling out of it. The crotch/leg area had no gaping. A major plus is a cutout in the back in case they have to go potty. The other two brands I purchased did not have the cutout, my dog had an accident in the suit. Then I had to wash the suit and my dog, kind of a pain.

When my dog had surgery we got this and it fit her perfectly. She did not even try to get to her womb site and was way more comfortable than a cone. It is stretchy and easy to get on your dog. It’s also thin enough that it is cool on your dog.

I originally ordered the size medium for my shichon pup who weighs almost 10 pounds. It worked great and shipped really fast which was even better because I didn’t want to use a cone on her after getting spayed. I realized I would need a second one and chose to get a size large. She’s long, so they both fit fine. It’s soft and it keeps her from licking her incision. Otherwise she would be at that incision constantly. This is a great idea! Thanks to the other reviewers for their helpful suggestions as well.
