This Petclear ear drops product is effective at cleaning my dog's ears. I used a little on one of those fingertip wiping cloths and I'm rather embarrassed how much gunk I got out of her outer ears. As for the inner ear, the directions say to put in 3-5 drops, massage the ear for 1 minute and then allow the dog to shake and thus expel gunk from the inner ear. Obviously, this is something you should do OUTside, not in your living room. LOL The dispensing tube through which the drops come out seems to be silicone or something similar. It's soft and flexible, which can help get the drops closer to your pet's inner ear. The seller states that this product is gentle and non-drying. The primary ingredients are aloe vera gel, dandelion and gentian extract. The manufacturer/seller is in Germany and nothing on the packaging indicates it was produced anywhere else. The markings on the bottom of the bottle indicate the date of manufacture (which was recent) and an expiration date three years after that date. This product works well and it's affordable ($10 in April 2026). The flexible tube is quite innovative and makes dispensing the drops into the dog's ear canal so much easier.

I have tried them all, as far as ear washes for my Golden Retriever, but have never seen a long tube, a soft flexible tube, in any type of product application, so was intrigued immediately. The typical dropper style tube, makes it very difficult to know how much of the drops is actually getting in the pups ear canal. And we all know how much they want to stand still for the process and then holding them and massaging the drops in before they immediately shake it all out. Whew! Well this flexible, soft tube made an immediate difference! The tube allows the drops to go right in the canal, a quick massage and you can hear and feel the liquid is actually where it needed to be, then directing your pup to wherever you prefer they shake and wow, much quicker process, and to my delight, a much more effective process, in application and cleaning, soothing benefit for your pup! When I received and started using this product, my sweet pup had been shaking her head to clear her ears, or sooth some ear aggravation for a couple of days, and my total shock, she stopped shaking her head, shortly after the first application, then a gentle clean, and she continued to be calm and apparently not in any more ear distress for the next few days and into a week, and then more, with continued use, off and on, once every other day, then every third or 4th, then a break. I will keep using this product for sure! Hoghly recommend!

I got this because I've seen my dog frequently scratch his ears and I can tell that they were dirty. This ear cleaner does work great. Easy to put on cotton ball and clean. Really takes the grime out. Since it's been a while since he was groomed, I did use quite a few cotton balls to clean up. Then put some drops in and let him shake it out as instructions said. He didn't really give me a hard time to do this. Don't be too close to your pet when he shakes it off though. I ended up with a few drops in my face but no big deal. I am continuing to use this. Very happy with it.

This formula contains four key ingredients: *Aloe Vera Gel helps to relieve redness and itching while moisturizing the ear canal at the same time. *Dandelion extract helps to clean and remove the earwax build-up and also reduce risk of otitis. *Gentian Extract helps reduce inflammation and alleviates redness, swelling and discomfort. *Citric Acid helps to maintain the pH value of the dog's ear canal. The directions are clear and easy to follow...shake well, squeeze 2-3 drops into the ear canal, and massage for one minute letting the solution get into the ear canal to dissolve earwax and dirt and remove odor. Your dog will eventually throw it out on its own to finish the process. Super easy to do and it works great! This can be done 1-2 times a week to keep your dog's ears clean & fresh! Also, I have to mention that I love the silicone flex tube because it makes this process so much easier! Kudos to whoever designed this...definitely a great feature! Decent price and the ingredient list feels solid, especially with the aloe vera and non irritating formula. It is easy enough to dispense and the soft silicone dropper makes application feel a bit more controlled than expected. That said, my cats just are not having it. I have tried using it when they are calm and relaxed and even when they are just about asleep, but they start resisting as soon as I come anywhere near their ears. The experience turns into a bit of a struggle right away. One thing to be careful with is the flow. The liquid comes out pretty quickly, so it is easy to overdo it if you are not paying close attention. Overall, it seems like a good product in terms of price and formula but getting it into my cats’ ears is the real challenge.

This PetClear dog ear cleaner is a great product. Lets start off with the ingredients. It contains aloe, dandelion, contains extract which is all known to fight inflammation and pathogens. These ingredients will definitely ward of the nasty odor smelling bacteria in my dog's ears. Second the applicator of this bottle is the most sensible applicator I have seen in a dog ear product for a while. I wish all dog ear cleaner products came like this. I no longer have to grab a cotton swab or cotton ball and clean it with my hands, I can use the applicator to disburse the ear solution. This saves so much time and strength for me. Products should be designed for ease of use and frequent use as well. This product's designs wins in that aspect. My dog also seems to feel comfortable using this product as well when I apply it for him.
