This little fuss face loves a good bark, so I ordered one of these collars. I charged it up and could not get it to actually go off when my dog was barking. I tried it on myself, tried blowing into the sensor like the instructions indicate, had my kids try it- nothing worked, so I returned it. I ordered a second one thinking it was a fluke. It wasn’t. Athena second one would occasionally go off, sometimes from just background noise even when set to a low setting, but then wouldn’t go off when my dog was actually barking. He was barking his head off at the UPS delivery guy and it was not vibrating or beeping so I took it off and placed it on the coffee table. I then sneezed, and then it went off.     • TESTING the device is spotty at best..
I see many reviews for this training collar are swell and I would like to give a good review but after recieving 3 collars, fully charging and setting the sensitivity to 8 (max), I tried the blow test. I blew soft at first then with all the might my diaphragm had. Nothing. All 3 collars did nothing. Not a beep, vibration or shock (testing it encase I need to use it, would never let my furbabies experince shock if I wasnt cool with it). When that failed I even tried putting the collars on me and "barking". Still not a peep. What am I doing wrong?? ... show more

    • Did not work on blow test
The instructions said to blow on microphone pickup on back of device and it should beep, vibrate then, if selected, shock. I blew and blew and blew. I blew hard, I blew soft, and not a beep or vibration. I put it on my neck and barked like a dog with the shock and sensitivity on the highest levels and then I barked and barked and barked, not a sound, not a feel, not a shock. Came on time. Followed instructions and never worked at all. It buzzed when you turn it on and that is it. Think twice before you buy this product.

This collar does not work at all. Fully charged no vibration, the dog barks and barks and nothing happens. A complete waste of money.
