This light is super bright, has good color temperature choices, and is very slim profile. So slim, I was able to install this below my outdoor CFL light fixture as a way to convert to energy-efficient LEDS. Pros: - Bright - Clean look - High quality light and color temperature - Wago-style wire connectors (easier than twist-on connectors) Cons: - Poor English instructions "STERS" is "STEPS"? - Possible to misalign when twisting light fixture onto mount - Hanging wire gets in the way of connecting light to mount - So slim that the wire plugs and wires can get in the way of mounting the light flush The biggest downside is that they apparently didn't notice that a plastic piece on the light will hit (and break) a protruding piece on the mount if you don't orient the light so they're far away from each other before twisting it into place. My guess is that I did this since I was NOT using the hanging wire connecting the light to the mount while you wire it. I couldn't keep it in place as it kept getting in the way when I tried to twist to mount the light flush to the ceiling. Overall, it's a good light and it met my needs, but there's a couple of installation issues that can arise from the very low profile of this light.

This light fixture is our second Dodopen light fixture and we are hooked. The first one confused us a little because it does not use standard U.S. wire caps, but a sort of clip style connection. But it is as easy as black to black and white to white, and VIOLA! It is connected – FIRST ensure you turn the power off to the fixture and room, of course! Since my wife had done a good part of the first one herself, she decided to do this one as well. She got it all ready for me to verify, which I did and we tested the light – WOW! BRIGHT! It lit the whole room in a way that there were hardly any shadows. Although she said she will still want some targeted lights for her work areas for sewing and painting, this one is an excellent over all room ceiling light. The round one is a bit more flush than the square fit in our laundry room. We like the way it leaves just enough space, though if we need to take it down for any reason. The light we took down was filled with bugs and dust, but this flush mount should prevent a lot of that issue going forward. Another great feature of the Dodopen lights! This one also came with the “safety rope” feature to hold the light to the ceiling connection piece should it slip from your hands. This is a GREAT feature that we have had on a few of the lights we have installed recently. We almost dropped an old chandelier in the kitchen when changing it out because it had no feature such as this. We are grateful for the addition of this to the lights that have it – slippery fingers can be the end of a nice light fixture! Where could you use this round flush mount? Easily in a stairwell, front entrance, kitchen, laundry room, mudroom, even a bathroom that has ceiling lighting. Provides a barely-visible low profile fixture with a LOT of light. It would even be great in a garage, basement or workshop. We are even looking into adding some to our shed that are rechargeable and remote control. One concern many people have is the effect of the LED lights on eyes – my wife has one eye that is hyper sensitive to such things like fluorescent and standard LEDs, but the Dodopen fixtures do not cause any issue for her eyes, except sometimes she DOES need to turn the light to a lower setting because they ARE BRIGHT!

This light is replacing the ugly one our builder put in our walk in closet. I like that it is a simple design and puts out a lot of light. There is also a halo of light projected on the ceiling which is different from other flush type lights and I like it. There is a dimming feature that changes the lights brightness to 3 different levels. This is accomplished by switching your light switch on and off multiple times to get the desired effect. I'm not a fan of this set up. It works as intended but I'd prefer it to just remain on it's brightest setting. Luckily it remembers the last setting you left it on provided that it remains on for at least a minute. I have not had a problem with it switching to an undesired setting as long as I remember the one minute rule. It came with everything needed for installation. I used wire nuts instead of the included push in wire connectors as I've had those type fail in the past. I'm happy with the light.

I have this light in our laundry area. There are shelfs and places to hang things up high. The previous light was fairly small to avoid it getting hit and it did an ok job but this one is superior in every way. 5 stars from me. What I like ~ • light switch controls the color temperature if you fast toggle it. Otherwise it remembers where you had it set last. • In spite of being so flush, this design throws some light upward to avoid having a dark ceiling. • Simple installation ~ though if you have more than one wire each to connect, you will need to cut off the single wire quick connectors and use your own connectors. • the large base covers up whatever paint mark is left by previous lights, assuming they were smaller. What I don't like ~ There is nothing I can complain about. I suppose wiring two of these into the same circuit could result in lights being out of sync at some point, color temperature-wise ~ but that is a hypothetical edge case / not an issue most of us would have to deal with.

While this light is made of plastic, it is a fine closet light in that you are able to choose your brightness level. I had the light installed, so cannot speak to ease of installation, but the light produced and the looks are as I expected them to be.
