The front and back wasn't labeled. But the longer bar is the front and the short bar is for the back of the vehicle. L/R is labeled on the rubber piece. I had trouble install the back bar because it was too long and screw wouldnt catch ok. To solve this I had to cut the rubber weather strip to make it flush, hammer the plastic pieces before tightening the screws, shave the plastic part to make more room for screws to fit. In the end, i fitted 3 out of 4 screws on the back bar. The cover doesn't stay on but I had some really good double sided tape to fix that. ... show more

Firts off the parts are marked LH & RH but that is by looking at the front of vehicle, not the convention of sitting in the drivers seat, So the LH is actually the passenger side. Try all parts in each location for proper fit and then mark them yourself for later final assembly. My box was repackaged and some of the parts were wrong & or missing. The design of the plastic cap attaschment is OK but poorly executed. The split tubes which are supposed to pass through a hole in the brackets are too short. Thus the raised rib on the end of the split tube does not expand at all to secure the plastic cap in place. I made the effort to drill and tap holes in the zinc diecast brackets to receive machine screws which pass through the cap using a rubber washer to seal them and into the zinc bracket. This was time consuming, but very effective in keeping the caps in place. I sent photos to the vendor (DNA) and they told me that they would contact the Mfg. in China to resolve this issue. Don't know if or when that will happen. DNA was very concerned to help me resolve my issues. ... show more

    • Covers don't snap on when bars are installed
Do not ignore the fact that many reviewers have complained about the covers failing to snap into place. Once the roof rack is installed, the covers will not snap into place because the pegs are too short. The bars seem sturdy enough and they solidly attach to the roof of my 2011 Honda CR-V. But alas, the covers will have to be fixed in place by some other method than what was designed. Glue or screws of some kind, I imagine. This problem really should have been caught in some development or q-control stage. No one bothered to test this product before it went to market? Because of this, it's not worth the money at all. **Update: per a suggestion by one of the other reviews, I tried affixing the aforementioned covers with "gasket maker" a $5 product from Home Depot. It seems to have worked very well. The covers are now solidly in place, so far this solution has saved the day. I have changed the review from 1 to 2 stars, since the problem is not insurmountable. ... show more

    • Functional some install issues
It took a while and some serious elbow grease to get the screws in deep enough to catch the bolt threads on top of the vehicle. Also the cover caps do not stay on. That being said, they have held a roof box and 100lb load. The price is very reasonable.

    • Worst product ever bought on Amazon....and that says a lot.
I have a 2009 and 2011 Honda CRV. This product, installed as instructed, did not fit either vehicle properly. The Allen drive of one of the "special nuts" rounded off when being installed to specified torque. I'm not even really sure how you round off an Allen drive unless the nut is the cheapest steel available. Once installed, the bracket covers wouldn't stay in place due to deformation of the bracket. DNA Motoring, the supplier, offered no help except to tell me to contact Amazon for replacement. No thank you!!!!!! They didn't even seem to be familiar with the product. All cheap product made in China and sold under 20 different brands, so I won't be purchasing anything else from DNA Motoring. Should have started with a more expensive better quality supplier and product to begin with and saved myself some frustration. ... show more
