I need to know that before you buy this is that it will tear when you put it on. It is made of extremely flimsy plastic and is incredibly thin. Even further beyond that it is poorly made. You have to maneuver your mattress into this thing as it only has a zipper on one side you have to side it on your mattress like a sock. This is almost impossible to do without tearing the cover. Will it fit your mattress probably, but it go on to tear if you have any animals expect holes to be torn in it. Further if you do purchase this...make sure you trim your nails because long nails will tear this thing apart. I bought 2 because I had bed bugs and planned to double bag my mattress and when installing, but both tore. If take anything away from this review is that you should splurge on a mattress cover that has a top layer separate from the bottom and is thicker. You get what you pay for and this was a waste. This product does work. My dog has decided that she wanted to use the bed to get my attention to pea and poo on, and this protector held up. I simply picked it up and then wiped with a disinfectant and it was much better than having to use my Bissell green machine to deep clean the actual mattress. I got the zippered kind because we toss and turn, so the ones that simply cover the bed come right off. I have to use the corner clips to keep my sheets on. Now this is the kind that is not meant to be slept directly on, and it does make a LITTLE ruffling noise under your sheets- but nothing like the old kind that little kids used to sleep on. It isn't noticeable. It is a cheaper protector- I did not expect anything expensive for the price. The zipper is not designed to be used more than the one time to zip up the mattress. I am happy with this product, and you will be too if you need something to simply cover a mattress and NOT sleep directly on. If you want one that you can sleep on like a mattress cover sheet- look at something else. ... show more

It fits full size mattress as described. Easy to put on as I did it by myself. One downside is the quality of the cover, I purchased in March 2025, its now November and the cover is ripped. Cover is on my guest bed so doesn't get regular use, which probably prolonged its lifespan. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for. ... show more

Pros: Effective Liquid Barrier: Does a solid job blocking spills, accidents, and moisture from soaking into the mattress. Easy to Clean: Wipes down quickly and stays sanitary without needing a full laundry cycle every time. Affordable: Budget-friendly price point for basic mattress coverage. Cons: Rips Very Easily: The plastic material is extremely thin and fragile. It snagged and ripped along the seam almost immediately during installation. Noisy Plastic Feel: Makes a crinkly noise whenever you shift or roll over in bed. While it gets the job done for basic liquid protection, the durability just isn't there. It rips far too easily when stretched over a mattress, making it hard to recommend for long-term use. The DMI Twin XL Zip Mattress Cover is shockingly cheap in every possible way. When I say thin, I mean borderline imaginary. This thing feels like it’s made out of the same material as a grocery store produce bag, maybe thinner. Calling it a “mattress cover” is generous. It offers zero protection, zero durability, and zero confidence that it will survive normal human existence. A child rolling over in bed was enough to rip it open. Not jumping. Not roughhousing. Rolling over. If your mattress experiences gravity, this cover is already in danger. The zipper is flimsy, the fabric stretches like wet paper, and once it tears, that’s it, it doesn’t just rip, it gives up on life. There is no waterproofing worth mentioning, no thickness, no reinforcement. It feels like a disposable item that someone accidentally decided to sell as a permanent product. If you’re trying to protect a mattress from spills, accidents, pets, kids, or literally anything more aggressive than a gentle breeze, do not buy this. It’s super cheap in price and somehow even cheaper in quality. You’d be better off wrapping your mattress in a fitted sheet and hoping for the best.
