    • Would be great if the LEDs weren’t so bright
Size: 50-Inch
Renovating the entire downstairs and going for a bit of a modern look. So, out with the old fireplace and in with some new technology! I narrowed my choices down to this one and the Napoleon Alluravision. I read and watched numerous reviews and comparisons. The general consensus being that the Dimplex doesn’t have as many bells & whistles but it’s flame quality is substantially better than Napoleon. That piqued my interest. I bought both so that I could compare them first hand. While I agree the flame is more realistic on the Dimplex, it was ruined because the LEDs across the bottom are SO bright, even on their lowest setting, they wash out the flame display. Or maybe the flame display is too dim? What a shame. So, I’m keeping the Naploleon. On a side note, I asked other ppl here if they have the same issue with the overly bright LEDs, and everyone that responded said their Dimplex was fine. So, maybe I got a bad one? ... show more

this fireplace is just gorgeous! We just did a remodel and have TV on top with tile surround all of it. Looks just great! It works well visually but the heat it puts out is def lacking so that's why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. We live in FL so its not a huge deal. But was hoping to help supplement those few cold days we have here with this plus having it look awesome. Don't count on this for heat! We have an electric fireplace in RV that works so well we don't even have to turn our regular heat on when it is in the 40's. This one would never e able to do that. However, I mostly purchased this for the size and look more so. I've finally added some photos for you. So far after almost 2 years, it is still working great! ... show more

    • Nice fireplace
Size: 34 inch
I love the look if the flames. I find the heat output a bit inadequate for a 250 sq ft. Finished basement, even when used as a secondary hearing source. It does take the edge off the chill. Mine is surface mounted. It does protrude quite a lot from the wall. The remote is very tiny.

    • Beautiful electric fireplace
Size: 74"
Review Image by lsiders lsiders
The media could not be loaded. I bought this fireplace from Amazon for our new construction in 2018. It is now April 2021 and still works great. Beautiful and produces heat, when needed. I did add the Dimplex driftwood to accessorize it further. Driftwood sold separately. Update December 2022: I’m sitting by this fireplace, and it’s still just as beautiful as the day we bought it. I get compliments on it all the time. The added driftwood also made it even more realistic. ... show more

    • Modern Fireplace

Love it! Wish it put out heat in a larger area and wish I purchased a larger one. It’s very pretty.

    • This fireplace looks nice and was easy to install
Size: 50-Inch
This fireplace looks nice and was easy to install. However, we have had a major issue with it that the makers are unable to address. As many people would do, we have our fireplace mounted below our TV in our living room. However, the major issue is that the remote for the fireplace changes the mode on our sound bar for the TV which causes a lot of problems with getting the sound bar back. The remote for the TV then turns on and off the fireplace and messes with it. We contacted customer service for the fireplace, who said there is nothing they can do and the only option would be to somehow change the frequency/reprogram our TV, which isn't even doable. Naturally this is frustrating, for a $1000 fireplace, it shouldn't use the same IR codes or frequencies as very common TVs that people are likely to put next to them. We shouldn't have to purchase a new TV or drop more money on a universal remote because of this oversight by the fireplace makers. ... show more

    • Looks great. I like the different color modes
Size: 34 inch
This LED fireplace looks great. I like the different color modes. I ran the heater a little, but it doesn't put out a lot of heat. I did not buy it for the heater. The remote control is easy to use, but you have to be near the fireplace. It's not strong enough to work across a room. Installation was pretty easy. I'm glad we purchased this electric fireplace. ... show more
