Great product. Favorably surprised. The marketing on this product is pretty bad. The only video I found was on YouTube and was very poor quality. Was difficult to get to a decision point where I was willing to take the risk to get the product, and almost didn't, but glad I did end-up getting it. Very sleek and elegant with a great fire illusion. Strangely, looks even better than a real fire. Very easy to install. We get lots of compliments and many people wanting to copy. Wish they made a version that was narrower (say 36") for another application that I have. You don't have to worry about kids touching the front surface because the front surface says cool. Switchable heat exhausts from the top. No ashes to deal with, and you don't have to deal with how the front surface of a gas insert gets a brown build-up on the inside. It's great to have it in the summer when you want a romantic fire effect without the heat. Don't know why more people don't install these in instead of a real fire place. Love it!!!!! ... show more

Easy to install if you leave some wiggle room in the opening. We sure got lots of compliments for it. The heating part not so much, It does not heat up a very big room at all. We certainly bought it for looks and we accomplished that as it is the center of the living-room where everyone in the house wants to be. I did a lot of research before purchasing this fireplace and all roads lead to this unit. For price, quality & realistic flame Dimplex leads the industry so it was not hard for me to choose this unit for my living room project. The unit came on time and well packaged, the assembly instructions were well written & easy to follow. The installation was as simple as 1,2,3 - several screws & it was mounted in the wall. The ambiance this unit provides for our living room is spectacular as it totally transforms the space, we get so many compliments on it from friends & family that have since purchased units for themselves. The heat the unit kicks out is adequate for our cozy space while not over heating the room. The remote is easy straightforward & easy to use. We've gotten hours upon hours of enjoyment out of this unit "especially through the holidays" and would highly recommend this product - The only regret you'll have is that you didn't purchase it sooner! ... show more

We love it! Great quality, modern appearance. Most realistic flame an electrical fireplace can produce. A little more pricey than others, but worth it. Took away one star because the heat blower is not very powerful.

I wanted a fireplace to provide supplemental heat in my basement. I went with electric because I have small kids and wanted something cool to the touch. I watched a YouTube video on this fireplace and decided to give it a try. I installed it flush mounted in the wall. Installation was easy once the hole was cut and the frame was built. The instructions were clear on measurements and easy to follow. The fire looks very realistic and the fireplace provides a modern looking centerpiece for the room. My basement is about 600 square feet and the fireplace puts out plenty of heat to take the chill out of the air. The product is high quality and I highly recommend it. ... show more

The firebox is very nice however the front glass is a type of safety glass and shatters very easily. We purchased this in July and the glass broke on us while moving the fire box. When we called the vendor that this was sold threw amazon we felt like it was quite a bit of a run around to get this replaced. We ended up calling Dimplex in Canada to get this replaced. When we decided to redo our fireplace wall, I did a lot of research on options for the existing gas fireplace. We never really used it - it was a pain to light the pilot light, a pain to get the flames to start and then the blower was so loud you couldn't hear anything else in the living room. We decided to go with a linear electric fireplace this time. I just wanted something that looked like real flames and was quiet. There was a vast array of prices and options for linear electric fireplaces. I have two friends that have Dimplex and they swear by them, so even though it was more expensive, we went with the trusted and tested brand. I am glad we did. It was fairly easy to install, has a remote, turns on and off on command, mostly real looking flames and it's quiet. I wouldn't use this for heating a room - but that wasn't a plan of ours anyway. Our delivery even came a week early, although I had no idea how heavy the box would be and I feel terrible for the delivery driver. I wish I had been home to help unload it! Overall, we are very happy with our purchase. I attached a photo of the fireplace installed at about 80% done with our project. ... show more
