First off, the lamp was easy to assemble. The directions are brief but adequate. Once assembled the floor lamp is impressive particularly when considering this was about $70 bucks while similar lamps can cost hundreds of dollars. It feels heavy, sturdy, and solid with a very weighty base to reduce tipping risk. The shades are excellent quality; thick linen-type fabric with clean lines that are simple yet refined. They hang from gracefully arched posts that you can rotate and position to your liking. The light cast is a perfect warm golden glow which is on a dimmer so you can set the mood. We were given a similar lamp that immediately broke. When I looked up that lamp I found it cost $300+ and decided to see if I could find something that fit our budget better. I was skeptical because of the price, but I'm very happy I took a risk, because this looks wonderful and feels well built. It was very easy to assemble, and I really liked how the shades clip on to the metal frame and then velcro together. I'm not sure how that makes this product better, I just really liked it for some reason. It provides a lot more light to our living room and we love the dimming feature in the evening. I was looking for a lamp to fit in corner between couch and love seat. This lamp was a great choice! The shipping carton was very compact and when I opened it I noticed the lamp shade material came in three rolls, one for each shade. I was a bit skeptical of how these would go together. Actually, it was a snap to put the fabric on the shade frames and they looked perfect. So, I continued wtih assembly and about 45 minutes had the lamp assembled and arms adjusted to go over our furniture. The quality of the lamp is excellent, very sturdy and the heavy weighted base keeps it from tipping. Packaging was great. Instructions were a little vague, but the pictures made it pretty easy. All allen wrenches and even extra set screwa were included. Led bulbs and dimmer are great! Can turn up bright for reading or dim it for watching TV. I am very happy I bought this lamp. Assembly was mostly common-sense except for a few parts. The directions weren’t super clear and the pictures were tiny. For example, I didn’t know what to do with the extra tiny screws and mini wrench, but figured it out. Also when assembling the shades, I can see from others’ photos that the top section of the shade is upside down, revealing the metal part to the visible eye. But aside from that, the base is super sturdy. The dimmable switch is perfect for finding the right brightness in the evening. And it looks great and stylish. ... show more
