Why did you pick this product vs others?: I purchased this picture light to illuminate a large canvas painting in my living room and I am honestly very pleased about it. The build quality feels very sturdy, especially for the price. The black finish has a nice matte look to it and blends in well with most contemporary home décor. The brightness levels are great. There are three color temperatures (warm, cool, and natural white) and each has 3 levels of brightness (40%, 70%, and 100%). I like the option of customizing how bright depending on the time of day or what mood I'm in. The remote is very handy, especially for toggling between the three modes or dimming from where I am, instead of getting up to physically adjust. The timer is a nice bonus, I can set the timer to automatically turn off after a few hours so I don't drain the battery. Speaking of battery, the 5000mAh rechargeable seems to be pretty good. I charged the battery fully once when I got it, and after using it nightly for a week at medium brightness, I have not had to charge it back up. Installation was very easy. It is a magnetic mount, so I can easily remove the light bar when I want to charge the light, then put it back on. It even has a swivel option for the angle so I can apply light to my painting exactly the way I want it. The light does cover a good area as well. My frame is about 30 inches across, and the 16 inch light gives an even nice spread over the whole piece. I would say this is one of the better cordless picture lights I have purchased for the money. I initially ordered a pair of Craftersmark Picture Lights and have been very pleased with the quality of the product. I've since ordered two more pairs. I ordered them in bronze, which has worked out perfectly for our application. The installation was a breeze, and as for the lights, one couldn't ask for more. The remote control operates flawlessly and features several valuable functions. It has on and off buttons, of course, as well as three brightness levels. It features three timer presets and three temperature presets, all of which operate effectively. The lights feature a magnetic attachment, allowing for easy detachment from the wall mount for charging. The light looks great but when running approx 2 hrs a day you will need to charge it every 4 days. I did reach out to the seller because I expected it to last longer between charges.
