Why did you pick this product vs others?: I purchased this picture light to illuminate a large canvas painting in my living room and I am honestly very pleased about it. The build quality feels very sturdy, especially for the price. The black finish has a nice matte look to it and blends in well with most contemporary home décor. The brightness levels are great. There are three color temperatures (warm, cool, and natural white) and each has 3 levels of brightness (40%, 70%, and 100%). I like the option of customizing how bright depending on the time of day or what mood I'm in. The remote is very handy, especially for toggling between the three modes or dimming from where I am, instead of getting up to physically adjust. The timer is a nice bonus, I can set the timer to automatically turn off after a few hours so I don't drain the battery. Speaking of battery, the 5000mAh rechargeable seems to be pretty good. I charged the battery fully once when I got it, and after using it nightly for a week at medium brightness, I have not had to charge it back up. Installation was very easy. It is a magnetic mount, so I can easily remove the light bar when I want to charge the light, then put it back on. It even has a swivel option for the angle so I can apply light to my painting exactly the way I want it. The light does cover a good area as well. My frame is about 30 inches across, and the 16 inch light gives an even nice spread over the whole piece. I would say this is one of the better cordless picture lights I have purchased for the money. I was a little disappointed because I thought these were fully metal. The light bar is plastic and the magnetic ball is silver and visible. That being said I still decided to give them a shot. They look great in my room. For the price these are great. I love how easy they were to install, charging the lights goes pretty quickly and I love that you can pick between warm and bright lights as well as the lights having a dimmer. Are they the perfect dream lights...? Close. But I was pleasantly surprised at how well these look and function. Can't wait to finish updating this room. ... show more
