    • Not Really for In-circuit Testing
The whole point (pun intended) of tweezer probes like these is for in-circuit testing. This product doesn't accurately do that. Further, the instructions state "Never use the meter in alive circuits." I think this also means that one should discharge capacitors before testing them, but there is no built-in function to do that. Otherwise, looks like a quality product. ... show more

    • No bad, but not good either.
The tips are not sharp enough to hold on to the SMD, unable to accurately test SMD capacitors in-circuit, outside it can. Can check resistors just fine outside of the circuit and check for any shorts. Big issue is the way the LCD is displayed, there is no way to rotate the display towards you so you can see the numbers displayed clearly, and if you have a light close by all the numbers will get washed out because of the viewing angle. I been using this to check sensors and capacitors in transportation refrigeration units. It is perfect to checking sensor resistance. Fits easily inside the plugs.

this came out of the box yesturday, and when it was put to use, it did not work properly. it will Not measure resistance on the setting R/D/C. it is a pity that such a nice presentation with a quality sticker on its back performed this way.

    • Not a bad meter
The first thing that I like is that it comes in a plastic case. Mind you that it is clear plastic and has tabs and might not last but it is the thought that counts because so many of these items just come in a card board box now. The switch on the edge selects whether you are checking diodes or low voltage or components. There are two push buttons that allow you to select more features for each function. The unit comes with 2 batteries and they are AAA size. The meter has wired test leads that the banana jacks hook to through loops on the tweezer attachments. I have not cross tested it with my other meters yet to see how accurate it is though. The plastic housing for the meter looks like the ABS plastic that could deteriorate quickly over time.
