I ended up putting this together alone in about an hour, they provide everything except you'll need a power drill for the screws that hold the slats in place. Technically this is not needed to set up the bed. The bed is very sturdy, and looks just like I was expecting. My purple mattress fit very well. I've shifted around a bit and don't hear any squeaking or have any concerns about this frame. Definitely well worth the money! ... show more

This bed frame was delivered ahead of schedule in two separate boxes. The. Instructions are easy to follow, and although you can accomplish this alone, I would recommend sharing the fun with an extra set of hands. Assembly is possible with just a screwdriver; however, with the time and effort spent, I would try to use an impact driver to get all of the many, many, many screws into the wood. Thank you DG Casa for such a beautiful bed and at such an affordable price. I came across this bed at Overstock and liked it so much. Found the same at Amazon with quite less $. Initially, I was skeptical but noticed that the seller was same. So, I ordered it with 2 matching nightstands. I’m really impressed with the communication from seller. They proactively send the tracking details for all the boxes (as there were multiple). I didn’t see this with other seller’s at Amazon. The one box was lost in the transit, so the seller sent the replacement. The quality of the bed is too good. I assembled it with my husband. If you just pay attention to the instructions, you can do it (have patience it takes time). The bed is quite heavy, just keep that in mind. Only one thing bothers me is that there is no space at the head and the foot after putting my mattress, which makes changing sheets very difficult ( I’m using Serta’s iseries mattress). So I love this f**ing bed! It took some time to assemble but man its worth it. All the parts of the bed are very solid wood and connect together very securely. Way better then any other Piece of furniture I have had to assemble it myself. The bed itself is gorgeous and looks extremely high end. I would recommend rubber or felt on the legs if you have a hard surface floor or it may be noisy when you roll over. I also recommend applying scotch guard to the headboard upholstery. I know over time the oil and hair products from my hair will stain the fabric. At least now it’s protected. It shipped quite well with only one tiny imperfection in a non conspicuous place. If you are on the fence about it I’m telling you go Buy this bed .. you won’t be disappointed! ... show more

Bed is a not easy to assemble. It’s also not real wood. It’s a very thin veneer over mdf. The side rails are too weak. When I get on the bed the side rails bow and I hear the legs try to spread out. I’m 6’1” 235 lbs. I think the legs will eventually damage my floor. Love the look but can’t stand mdf furniture. 2023 UPDATE - After some time with this bed I have grown to appreciate it more. upgrading my stars to 3. Still don't like MDF, honestly how much would plywood w/ veneer have cost over MDF? It stopped flexing and moving around. I guess it just needed to settle or something. overall I'm satisfied with it. ... show more

    • Sideboard broke after two years and half years of use.
Bed frame broke. I weigh between 210 lbs and 225 lbs. The side board that holds the slats by my side of the bed broke and the bed is now useless. I don't have children etc... so it's not like someone was jumping on the bed. Poor design and not built to last. Will supplement with picture.
