This is the Dexter 6” flexible fillet knife . The grip is soft and the blade is super sharp. It’s intended use is for panfish and I am ready to try to wear it out. Very pleased with the product.

    • Works well enough but it’s not excellent

I read the reviews on this knife and people are comically uninformed. Sharpness seems to be their prime concern when no matter what a knife will dull and you need to sharpen a fillet knife regularly for the best performance. So for this knife… It came sharp but it wasn’t sharp enough so I put it through my sharpener and the difference was noticeable. For holding an edge, it seems to work well enough to complete the job. I’ve filleted halibut, white seabass, and other bass and it held the edge throughout. I do however always sharpen after every use so it always has a clean edge. The two downsides are that the knife develops superficial rust discoloration that doesn’t come off and that the matching scabbard holds moisture and had rusty rivets. So it’s lame to have to take so much care of an inexpensive yet good fillet knife. ... show more

    • Great knife but no sheath.

Great sharp knife out of the box. Would be 5 stars but it comes with no sheath which makes it difficult to protect the blade and others when transporting
