Having a serious disability from bone cancer I am unable to lift objects over 50 lbs and our 5th wheel hitch weighed 250. I needed to occasionally install and remove the hitch to utilize the truck bed. I also need to list heavy objects like toolboxes and floor jacks in and out of the bed. (I have found if I have the tools I can always find people willing to help me out.) My priorities were the longest reach and a base that extends past the reach of the arm. (You might be surprised at the number of dangerous pickers with arms extending past the wheels on the base.) It had to fold up for storage and life 1/2 ton when fully extended. And, not break the bank by being under $200. This one nailed every criteria. There are a couple places it falls short of ideal, mostly around the lifting jack and handle. The fit and storage of the handle are sloppy and I would rate fair, and the handle doesn't lock into the hydraulic jack and will fall out. The handle should lock in place securely. I find this annoying. For the DIYer or occasional use, I would recommend it. I would purchase it again.

Advertised as a 2 ton lift , it struggles with a chevy 350 . I definitely would not try to lift a big block with this hoist .

I actually haven’t used the product yet but the fact that their assembly instructions say “assemble as shown in the picture” has me concerned about the quality. Even the picture, which is supposed to identify which bolts, etc to use where, the print is so small and ink bled together it really makes it worthless. I’ll check back once I’ve used it.
