I really like the lamp base and stand. It seems very sturdy. It was easy to assemble. The bulb is included which I always find a plus when ordering lighting. The bend in the upper portion is just right for reading a book. For the price, it is a good buy. I am a bit disappointed in the lamp shade. I feel like it is too short and exposes too much of the bulb assembly piece. Also, the shade hangs from the electrical cord and swings loose which you don’t notice in the pictures online. It is hard to hide the quite heavy seem from the Velcro connection when it isn’t stationary. I will look for another shade later. I can’t figure a way to eliminate the hanging/swinging issue. But, again for the price of this lamp buying another shade will still make it a good buy. ... show more

This floor lamp is great! Perfect height and brightness. One thing I didn’t like that other people mentioned is the only when to turn it on is by a button attached to the cord you’re supposed to step on. I just put a command hook on the back of my end table and draped the cord so I could push the button to turn light on, see picture attached. Otherwise great light! ... show more

The lamp base and stem/stand were very sturdy; however, I found myself wishing that the height was adjustable. This thing is tall! Also, the hanging aspect of the shade is somewhat awkward, and the assemble-it-yourself-shade was cheap looking at best. I know it’s a size saving trick for shipment purposes, but a scrawny scroll and two rounded coat hangers do not a lamp shade make. 😂 ... show more

We really like the look of this lamp, and it was easy to assemble. With that being said, it had two minor problems that we didn’t have the energy to address. First, part of the piece that holds in the light bulb was cracked and fell off at assembly. Second, the base of the lamp was dented. (See photos of both.) Neither issue affects the functionality of the lamp, and it looks fine for our space. (See photo.) ... show more

4/5 times I used it, it would flicker. The dimming setting was essentially unusable bc it would only not flicker it was used at max capacity. I returned it and the return was very painless (dropped it off at a nearby Kohl's) and they refunded me immediately.
