  • Powerful and comfortable to use.
Color: Yellow,black
Great tool! I had a demolition project of removing a bunch of old 1.5" black steel boiler piping in a crawlspace that I was not looking forward to. I was originally going to use a reciprocating saw but after rattling my teeth out on a couple of cuts, I needed to try something else. This grinder worked perfectly for the purpose and was alot easier on my body than using the reciprocating saw. I ended up discharging nearly two 6ah flexvolt battery completely making about 30 cuts. Make sure you have a spare battery charged if you are doing a big job, I was glad I did. However, given the depth of each cut, the battery life really isn't that bad. Especially considering the light weight of the tool and not having to drag an extension cord around with you. It was absolutely perfect for the cramped crawlspace work. Honestly, pretty good ergonomics on the tool, the weight feels balanced. Its super easy to spin the guard around for left vs right hand use. I tried to be careful with my cuts and avoid pinching the cutoff wheel, and mostly succeeded. The built in anti-kickback brake worked perfectly for the couple of times that the cut pipes ended up pinching the wheel. I was very impressed that I didn't end up breaking any cutoff wheels during the job. I don't think you would go wrong buying this tool. ... show more

  • The first time I have overruled the electric brake speed.

If this thing is as good as I think it is, there is much more to do with this. Any tool that is built by a mass manufacture should be a starting point of a tool we need in small business. I took the 36 volt NANO to a 6 wheel 4 years ago, and if the 36 can do a 6 wheel easy, then I believe a 60 volt can do a 9 wheel the same way. Flexvolt is going to be higher in horsepower but lower in torque. This is the compitition tool I aim to kill. Stihl TSA 230 (not linkable on Amazon) To increase the size of the wheel we need to increase the size of the guard. This can be crossed to a 9 inch DeWalt corded guard. The issue at this point is the thickness of the guard mount, the bigger they get the thicker they are. The Stihl tool is $1200+ the DeWalt is $400+ and can do the same thing ,Me believes,, for much longer as the Stihl in 36 volt. It is not coming till August but I believe I have pretty much all the design work done for the modified tool. One very important note, you have to stop the blade in product and not let the firmware try to stop a 9 inch wheel in 1 1/2 seconds!! That could blow apart the gearcase. (throwback to why drill bits come lose in 20 drills, firmware) If you understand how the tool works it will last a long time. If one ignores procedures and is not trained for such firmware shortcomings your productive day just went out the window. Other than that everything else works to go to a 9 inch blade. Beating the Germans in tool design, that would be a very proud moment for me, but I can't thank them enough for SDS drills, tip of the hat. See image. If one can take the heat out of the cut, one can make a lot more cuts. The carborundum blade has peaked, a diamond blade is faster with much less heat. And emissions. Energy storage is progressing @ 1% per month, that is an efficiency gain of 12% per year. Tool designers need to step up to that same rate of gain,or get left behind $. ... show more

I love this grinder. It is a powerful tool. You would drain the battery quickly, but I have been on the same 6ah battery for three days doing HARDI SIDING AND TRIMMING, It is still going. I love brake, it's smooth, perfect

  • Cuts Like A Lightsaber!
Color: Multi
The 60v Angle Grinder by DeWALT performs like a corded one. It can be difficult to find an angle grinder that is both portable and powerful. Working on a rural island makes it difficult to find convenient power sources at the job site so corded tools are commonly not an option. This tool has made life easier by avoiding long extension cords or hauling products to a power source. The battery life lasts long enough for small to medium sized jobs and certainly won’t be an issue with multiple batteries. I have cut through metal like butter with this tool and takes no time at all. Also great for sharpening lawnmower blades. Taking off the grinder blades is easy and similar to prior year DeWALT grinders. There is also a safety in the trigger so you don’t cut the s**t out of yourself while the battery is still in it. Overall, another great product by DeWALT and would recommend to handy friends. ... show more

  • Used item almost as good as new!
Color: Multi
Item was listed as used in new condition...and it was. Just a few scratches but hell, it's an angle grinder. Came with all accessories too. The flexvolt motor has more than enough power. Would definitely buy used again.

  • Good Heavy Duty Grinder
Color: Multi
Like all grinders, this one eats batteries, but it is more powerful than other grinders in this price range. It continues to impress me. It has a permanent home in my work truck.

  • Battery Drains Too Quickly
Color: Multi
I like the design, but the battery life on this grinder is terrible. It drains far too quickly during use, even with lighter work. I expected longer usage times from a 60V tool, but this one falls short.
