Description

The DCM200B 20V MAX XR 18in Bandfile (Tool Only) provides More Power Than Pneumatic for tough commercial applications rotating up to 5,600 Ft/Min with 732 MWO. This power is controlled with a variable speed trigger and speed setting dial. A 104° Rotating Contact Arm enables the user to take full advantage of the portability and versatility and to access hard to reach spaces. Coupled with a Rotating LED to help illuminate the workspace and tool- free belt change the DCM200 provides user convenience, mobility and versatility. Lastly, the DCM200 18in Bandfile utilizes DEWALT's 20V MAX system, it joins 300+ products in the 20V MAX line, each engineered to meet the specific needs of demanding trades. Based on MWO, using DCBP034 battery (sold separately) vs. pneumatic-powered Dynabrade Dynafile 14000, 14010 Abrasive Belt Tools. Super nice- perfect for detail work. I’ve used in remodels when I gotta “ quick fix”am improperly hung door - sticky door that’s to tight on hinge side against a door jamb. This little guy fits in there to remove a little wood. Also I used to sharpen an axe, very efficient as I went thru the different belts to get edge just right after removing knicks and burs. Super satisfied with this variable-speed belt sander. It has performed well while working through automotive spot welds and has held up well under consistent use. The tool is easy to maneuver, which allows for good control in tight areas. Belt replacement is simple and efficient. Initially, I thought a cover was missing but the open design is intentional and makes belt replacement quick and hassle-free. Tool is great.... Used it for several different things that i did not expect. Word of advice for the belts. use the 3M belts... they last a long time and the heat from use does not cause the belt to fail. The belts are super easy to change. this is way better than an air powered one.

Definitely an impulse buy but it was worth it. Did wheel bearings on my Subaru and this came in super handy for cleaning up edges. Saved me time and I was able to use it for various small projects around the house. Fantastic working tool that I didn’t realize I would get so much out of.

One of the greatest tools ever invented. I work in a bodyshop and use these tools almost every day. After I found out dewalt made thse I had to try it and I won't use the pneumatic one again I think. I have been using my own as well as the bosses he brought first for months now without any issues. We usually use them for panel removal getting spot welds detached but once you have it you find so many uses for it. I have used it to enlargen a 4 inch hole for a vent on my deer stand because the hole saw was a smidgen too small, used it to shape foam board insulation for the same stand, sharpen my axe and machete, shape chainsaw file handles, clean up cuts and my aunt and uncles deck stairs we remodeled I could go all day. You won't regret buying one of these. You definitely need at least 4ah batteries though ... show more
