Description

The DCM200B 20V MAX XR 18in Bandfile (Tool Only) provides More Power Than Pneumatic for tough commercial applications rotating up to 5,600 Ft/Min with 732 MWO. This power is controlled with a variable speed trigger and speed setting dial. A 104° Rotating Contact Arm enables the user to take full advantage of the portability and versatility and to access hard to reach spaces. Coupled with a Rotating LED to help illuminate the workspace and tool- free belt change the DCM200 provides user convenience, mobility and versatility. Lastly, the DCM200 18in Bandfile utilizes DEWALT's 20V MAX system, it joins 300+ products in the 20V MAX line, each engineered to meet the specific needs of demanding trades. Based on MWO, using DCBP034 battery (sold separately) vs. pneumatic-powered Dynabrade Dynafile 14000, 14010 Abrasive Belt Tools. This belt file has been a wonderful purchase. I've used it for so much I can't begin to describe how handy it is. I bought it primarily for using to dress/smooth/condition horse hooves and it does an amazing job with so much less effort than smoothing out the hooves by hand. I thought the friction might prove to create too much heat and be uncomfortable to my horses, but the hoof remains cool, and the horses don't mind it at all. I think it feels good to them as they seem to like it. The noise doesn't bother my horses either which was something I was concerned with, although I knew that I could condition them to accept it with time. Delightfully, they never had any issues with it. I've also used it for many things that are more in line with what it is marketed towards, all with fantastic results. The belts are easy to install making it simple to change the type of belt for each use or to change when a project requires multiple types of belts to complete. I am a fan of the Dewalt brand and have almost always been pleased with their products. This one exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend it to anyone who can even imagine they might have a use for it. To my fellow farriers, you might want to consider this if you use sandpaper to dress your hooves. With the right grit-belt it does a great job with so much less work than doing it by hand and can do much of the work of a hoof rasp as well. ... show more

Super satisfied with this variable-speed belt sander. It has performed well while working through automotive spot welds and has held up well under consistent use. The tool is easy to maneuver, which allows for good control in tight areas. Belt replacement is simple and efficient. Initially, I thought a cover was missing but the open design is intentional and makes belt replacement quick and hassle-free. Love this tool and using it a lot more than I expected. It is very easy to set-up and use. Definitely suggest using the handle to help control the direction and feed (did not attach on my first use and gouged my stock (luckily it was a scrap piece)). Highly recommend getting it off this store. Price compared to brick and mortar stores can’t be beat. Extremely happy with tool. Manual blows so don’t expect any great use tips. Recommend starting out at a slow speed on wood and working up. Otherwise, you can quickly sand to deep and leave marks.

I got the DeWalt DCM200B band file to use around my home. I weld and do a bit of metal repair/patching and this band file is great for cleaning up welds, going into tight spots, sharpening lawn mower blades. Pretty much anything that needs to be precisely ground down this DeWalt makes short work of it. I purchased this as a renewed unit. It looks brand new to me. Super nice- perfect for detail work. I’ve used in remodels when I gotta “ quick fix”am improperly hung door - sticky door that’s to tight on hinge side against a door jamb. This little guy fits in there to remove a little wood. Also I used to sharpen an axe, very efficient as I went thru the different belts to get edge just right after removing knicks and burs. Much easier than a puck It has a Very nice speed selection knob on the side instead of various ranges. And belts are super quick to change out. I like that for storage it folds up nearly in half on pivot point that doubles as an option for tight spots in hard to reach areas, Another perfect addition to my Dewalt collection. ... show more
