    • Worked Great to Drive my 8" Ice Auger for Winter Fishing
I use this drill for drilling holes in the ice to fish in the winter. I have a 8" diameter hand auger and the hand-crank part was a little bent, making it difficult to use. The main part of the shaft with the flights was fine, so I purchased this drill in hopes that it was powerful enough to drive the ice auger. Plus, I already had some DeWalt 5Ah batteries from other tools I own. I live in Colorado, and the ice was about 20 inches thick that winter. I was able to drill several holes without any problems. In the end, way cheaper than a full dedicated electric ice auger setup.......and now I also have a powerful drill for anything else that might require it. ... show more

I was very disappointed with this purchase. The drill arrived without its original box or proper manufacturer packaging. Instead, it was loosely wrapped in plastic, which is unacceptable for a new power tool. Upon inspection, the drill clearly showed signs of prior use or mishandling. There were visible scratches on the chuck (the part where the drill bit goes), scratches on the plastic housing, and even a small cut on one of the rubber grip sections on the side. This is not something that should be present on a new item. The condition strongly suggests that this was either returned, demo, yet it was sold as new. If that is the case, it should be clearly disclosed and priced accordingly. ... show more
