Build quality is amazing. This is the only camping light (on an extendable pole) that can handle harsh rain storms. Other brands say do not run in rain, or only can be used in light rain. I also bought the colored amber and red caps to reduce the harshness of the light. Only con is that there are no included instructions, the gift tag has a QR code to scan for the users manual. Sadly when you follow the link, it goes to their website but the 800 model doesn't have instructions. You hold down the button when the light is on and you can change the intensity setting. Single press will turn the unit on or off. If you double press the light will change from 4 sides being lit to just 2 sides. Will buy another one. Wish the 1200 was cheaper, I would buy that instead. ... show more

We call this our “moth lamp” and it’s huge and bright for camping. Lasts what we need it for although you definitely need to charge it between trips as it goes through battery quickly, but super helpful for group camp trips.

This works great to illuminate a large space at work or home during an outage. It extends high enough so it doesn’t mess with your line of sight and hurt your eyes and has a handy dimming feature to provide exactly the light you need/want. Surprisingly long battery life on a single charge. Only down side is that I wanted to use it on a camping trip but the mosquitoes and moths go after it big time. The LR 800's light is such a harsh cool-white color temperature that I'd consider the orange filter mandatory. Fit is perfect but sometimes we collapsing the light down I grab the filter & pull that down instead of the light. Snaps right back into place easily though. Never used the red filter but the orange filter gives a really nice campfire feel to your campsite. ... show more
