  • I hate putting anything together! But it's a good chair for $79
Color: Black
Yes. For $79 bucks yes. The last bolt in the back pad is a bi**h. The holes don't match up enough to screw in. You will need 2 sets of hands for this to strong hold the 2 pieces together (or clamp it) while you fish for the hole in the back and screw it in. Not saying that the make it faulty, it's just like putting the last bolt in the Effel Tower (perhaps that's too much) but meaning when all others are in place the last screw and hole match up is bound to be hard to line it up. Patience! A good deal comfy. ... show more

  • Hard assembly
Color: Black
So…assembly was extremely hard, none of the parts line up. Once i managed to get it together, the back is stuck in a tilted position so I’m constantly leaning forward.

  • Helicopter Base Drives Me Insane
Color: Black
This chair was carefully packed. The quality of the chair itself seems to be above average, but that is where my good thoughts on this product ends. Assembly was a nightmare. Why? Because the screws for attaching the seat were not long enough. Two were, two weren't. After 30 minutes of frustration, I finally figured out that the short screws go on one side and the long screws go on the other. No mention was made of this in the instructions. After getting the chair completely assembled, I sat in the chair and rolled it under my desk. It was then that I discovered that the frame holding the wheels acts as a helicopter blade as the chair is moved. They don't stay in place but actually swivel counterclockwise as the chair rolls forward or back, regardless of which direction you are moving. I had some higher quality wheels available, so I switched the wheels out. This did not solve the problem. I've sat in office chairs pretty much my whole life for work and don't understand why this chair is built this way, but you must keep your feet well clear of the wheels if you are moving while seated. I did not use the headrest as I had to lean my head as far back as it would go just to touch the headrest. ... show more

  • Office chair
Color: Black
Beautiful office chair! Easy to build, actually came packaged very well. I'm a larger man, 6'4 240lbs. It hold me very well!

  • Cheap build (understandably), and not meant for tall people.
Color: Black
I'll get right to the problems and features and do the poetic stuff afterward: 1) Every major component of this chair was not machined/built to specification. All the screws are misaligned in a way that you can tell they just don't have refined manufacturing processes down. The instructions clearly state you need more than 2 people to assemble this, and IMO the reason is because you need other people to help you force the pieces together so you can jam the screws in at slightly mis-aligned angles and tighten them. I did this myself using a little bit of creativity but this was extremely annoying. Basically you'll have a bracket that needs either 2 or 4 screws and at least 1 of them will simply not be able to line up with the holes unless you put everything in at an angle or force hard plastic to bend/squish. The chair is not functionally compromised but you know this will be a low longevity item. 2) The arm rest is lightweight and doesn't feel stable, like you can tell it's not meant to support any weight on it, which is something most people do when standing up from their chair--lean their weight on the armrest as they push off. There is no angle or height adjustment on the arm rests, but you can flip them back and out of the way. I'm using a separately purchased "arm rest cushion" to give it enough height for use at my desk. 3) The chair clicks and clacks as you rock in place even when the rocking mechanism is off. When you turn on rocking mode ("tilt") by pulling out the handle under your chair, you get the full rocking range. No adjustments. Either no rocking (which is slightly slightly rocking) or full rocking, which is enough to give you that "falling sensation" but in reality isn't that steep of an angle (I'd estimate about 40 degrees). There is no hydraulic resistance. The pull-out pin is also a bit short and feels like you could accidentally slip it out occasionally, or snap it from general flimsiness. 4) The fabric is rough mesh and is not comfortable. It appears breathable because you can see through it. The seat is hard mesh cushion. It's not soft enough to feel comfortable the first time around but it feels like it will get quickly impacted and become even harder than it starts off. 5) The lumbar support feels decent to me. There is an arduously slow dial in the back for you to adjust the depth of it. Better than nothing. 6) I'd estimate this chair was designed for someone mid-5 feet to 5'9 because I'm 6'0 and the headrest is at least several inches too short for me to use. The headrest has a depth and angle adjuster, but not height adjustment. The seat width is also big enough for wider bodies IMO. 7) The wheel casters are hard plastic, not the softer more expensive kinds meant to prevent damage to hard floors. Ultimately, most of you probably know the really high quality office chairs get at least into the hundreds or can cost a solid $2000. This chair is obviously very inexpensive, but its ergonomic design is basic and has a pretty flimsy build. It's functional but unless it's the perfect fit for your body it isn't going to be enjoyable to sit long periods in (like a proper workhorse office chair). Its cushion and fabric isn't going to be particularly comfortable either way. For $100 though? If you're looking for things in this price range it is probably par for course. ... show more
