This device is muzzle tough for such a small, fit-in-the-palm-of-your-hand device. I was quite shocked at how small it is and even more surprised by how excellent it works. It’s easy to connect to your TV once you have an extra HDMI port on your TV. Just connect the AC adapter, HDMI cable, and put two triple A batteries in the remote control and you’re ready to play a DVD or CD. Don’t forget to put the TV on the HDMI input. The picture is clear, the device works perfectly, and it’s easy to operate. I still have a lot of DVD and tired of playing Amazon Prime to watch old movies I have on DVD. So, if you have a lot of old DVDs and are a cheapskate like me, get this device, you won’t regret it.

This DVD player was the perfect size for my desk, around the same size as an external CD drive! It works perfectly with my mini CRT, and I've had no problems so far. It is easy to use with the remote, but I must say there is a small delay when pressing the buttons, nothing too major though. Another thing to note is that it saves your time if you eject the DVD, so the next time you play it again, it'll continue where you left off. The aspect ratio is also pretty good, but I am running a fairly tiny TV. The only complaint I have is with the USB drive, which is the main reason why I purchased this. I was looking forward to importing some files and converting them to the ones this DVD drive takes, but so far none have worked. I've tried MPEG-1, MPEG-2, and XVID, but no luck so far; all say unsupported format. I'm not sure if there's a program that can correctly format MP4 files. I'll update this review if I ever find one. For now, I have no possible way of playing videos directly from my USB, the only alternative I have is burning my own DVDs.

It is tiny and works perfectly for my small space- I store it and take it out when needed. Looking forward to using it with the projector when camping! I do a lot of streaming, but sometimes you just want your favorite dvd.

We bought this for out van when we travel. This DVD player has been amazing. Easy to use and hook up. We have had no issues with skipping or anything. WHen you shut off the car it saves where the movie was. Perfect valuse for our money. Buttons were no problems and we had no freezing at all. Picture quality has been great.This is great because when you are driving through the mountans you wont need to worry about losing connection. i recommend and love this item.

Would give zero stars if I could. This player worked for all of 2 minutes and then the picture froze. When I stopped the player and then restarted it it would no longer read the disc. I tried multiple DVDs and every single time received a "no disc" message. I would not recommend. Please don't waste your money.

I purchased this to use with a laptop and TVs. My fault, it doesn't actually claim that it works on laptops and doesn't, but be aware. No stars marked off for my stupidity. Pros: Size is great if you have little space Using HDMI cord, picture is Good. Not 4K "great" so if you are particular about this, this is not for you. If you are old school and good with something that looks like the TVs show you watched in the past (think Gilligan's Island or Buffy the Vampire Slayer) without the drop outs, but still with the slightly grainy quality, it's good and accurate to the quality of the DVD. Newer DVDs are also of appropriate quality. I accidentally turned it sideways. Kept playing, no issues. Remembers where you stopped. Easy setup for HDMI. Plays discs I have with some heavy duties scrapes on them (purchased second hand). This is the ONLY DVD player that will play those discs. That alone makes it a keeper for me. Cons: Cannot find a way to adjust the picture size properly on the dvd player. It has Normal ps, Normal LB and 16:9. How about 4:3 for those really old DVDs in CRT size? The two "NORMAL" sizes don't fix the image. My non mini DVD players will fix that. Yes, I often have to adjust the size on the TV, too, but I can't make the picture size work with 2 of 4 TVs. My non mini DVD players work with all of them. Player makes a"ticking" sound as it plays. If you have sensitive hearing, it will drive you insane. Remote is "slow". You press the button and it waits a beat before anything happens. At least mine does that. Bottom line: Good enough for average dvd play if you aren't picky about perfect pictures and don't mind or can place it where the ticking sound won't bother you. Standard small DVD players which aren't that much bigger these days are better (my non mini is only 3 inches wider and two inches deeper). That is plays DVDs with scrapes that other DVD players won't means I will keep it, but if it hadn't done that I would have returned it. It's just OK, IMO.
