This little space heater was meant as a joke, a gag gift, that actually proved to be useful After Christmas was over I heard from my cousin who I had given the gift to. It turns out the apartment she just moved into had no heat as the landlord was fixing it. She called me up and thanked me for what turned out to be the perfect gift: a heat source when she had no heat. Space heaters that are sold in the United States, have a button on the bottom, that when released, turns off the heating element. This unit lacks that device. Therefore, it should not be sold in the United States. However, the product works as described.

This Desktop space heater works pretty good given how small it is. I'm using it under my desk, and I'd say it feels just as good as my old 1500W space heater. This ones only 500W, but feels much bigger. It's a little less noisy then the old one, and the noise pitch is slightly higher. It only has one speed, and no safety features. Such as if it's tipped over, it just keeps running (not good, needs a mercury switch). I'm not sure if it has an over-temp. shut-off or not (they're cheap an easy to implement...it says it does, but not willing to test). Update: Well after a week of use, the "ON/OFF" switch broke. I guess fortunately it broke in the "ON" position. So it still works, but I have to use the plug to control the ON/OFF function now. It seems they are using cheap quality parts components by my guess. It definitely works great as a under desk heater. Just be careful not to kick it over. So far, I'm very happy with this little heater.

I work in the hospital and it’s usually freezing up there. This thing is cheap, small, and gets super hot! Perfect value & I’ll never work another shift without it.

Replaced this heater a couple times, lasts about 3 weeks and then you can’t turn the switch on or off. Waist of money.

Its a great size for a small office but unfortunately it didn't heat. It turns on and blows air but not hot, more like luke warm.
