This Desk Clamp is low profile and allows for a sleek way to add outlets for low power things such as chargers or monitors. Makes it easy especially if you're using a motorized desk. Noticed an annoying coil whine noise when using the USB ports specifically. It was very apparent. If you use headphones exclusively, this may not be a problem. Docked a star for the noise, probably older tech to manage the power delivery to the USB ports. Using a regular outlet does not cause coil whine though, so I've just stuck to using USB chargers via the outlets. For those not familiar with coil whine, it is a high frequency/high pitch noise that typically happens with older electronics. It's only noticeable when it is silent. ... show more

Used one HomePod on each side of shared PD. Can not even plug an unused or used usb cable while using a HomePod in a 'shared PD' side. However, e x t r e m e l y convenient and very reliable. 100% Satisfied not having to have two 20W wall warts around my desk and using up plugs to power my HomePods. Was looking for a new power strip that might hang or be attached to a desk. This one fit the bill, as it has a nice desk attachment. It has a long wire and also has both electrical and usb plugs. It is a bit more handy, but not as compact as my old Anker cube design. The long strip is nice as it has a clamp to secure itself to something flat, say a desk edge or something like that, so it stays out of the way or off the ground.     • Does not fit 1 3/4" table but can be made to fit one. Only 14awg wiring 14amps.

Initially I was upset that it did not fit my table that is 1 3/4" thick. Going back a rereading the description it says maximum size is 1.6". So that is my fault for not reading fully. However, I had to take it apart to modify it a little and I was able to get it to fit my table and it appears to be working fine. I will note that the wiring inside is only 18awg wiring which is rated for 14amps. Just keep that in mind this is not for anything that could draw the full potential of your 15amp or 20amp circuit. Also take into account the total number of devices you have plugged in and how much power they all draw together. ... show more
