Get it!! I’ve tried a dental kit from Walmart before and had to return it because the tools were cheap and not sharp enough to remove anything. This kit feels professional, it WORKS like the professionals. Follow the directions and take your time. I’m currently unemployed and uninsured but my teeth needed cleaning due to some tartar/build up. When I noticed it a week or so ago it made me feel so helpless. It’s expensive to get your teeth cleaned or opting into the dental programs having to pay $400-500 upfront. I ordered this and was able to clear that tartar and build up off my teeth. I have my confidence back. Of course this won’t replace a dental appointment, however, it does work well for at home. I was able to remove all the buildup myself. If you’re in my position this would be a great option, of course it would be beneficial to have a water flosser(I’d recommend adding a drop of mouth wash w/ fluoride) to do a deeper clean once you’ve finished pulling/scrapping. I have permanent retainers also and I was able to clean around them. I also swished salt water around in my mouth after each round to keep my mouth sanitized and I think it helps to break down the buildup . 10/10 would recommend. ... show more

I have clean teeth OCD! It drives me crazy if I feel tartar behind my lower teeth or if my teeth do not feel smooth in general. I decided to purchase these dental tools to help keep my teeth extra clean between dental visits. To my surprise, they exceeded my expectations. I am able to easily remove tarter that tries to build up on the back of my lower teeth. I love these tools so much that I purchased a set for my dog's teeth, which works great too! These tools are very sharp, so be careful. I would not recommend using these tools on your pets or kids teeth if they are squirmy and won’t sit still. The sharpness is what makes them so effective. I am not a dentist or a dental student. I purchased this set of tools to keep in our home for deep cleaning where floss doesn't work. So far so good. I've only used the one pick and the mirror to use some plaque that built up between 2 of my teeth. Even though I brush my teeth 3 times a day, I still got some plaque build-up. It happens. I have never been good with the string technique. I tried the water jet thing, but was not impressed and it was messy. I use these tools every time I brush my teeth. I get lots of removable material and I get deep into the gums. These tools also navigate the permanent dental wiring which holds my bottom front teeth in place. I recommend it highly. We got these to help clean our teeth and they are similar to what our dentist uses. These are better used if someone else is cleaning your teeth, rather than a DIY situation. The tweezers are useless and don't really hold anything.
