Love this brush I just wish I would of bought a bigger one this one is really slim (5 rows). However it works so good! Slides right through my curly hair and the curls bounce right back. Will be purchasing the bigger one soon! Also anyone who is interested should try the tresemme naturals conditioner and detangle with this brush it works so good together. ... show more

    • It's just a little guy
I was conflicted on to buy this original or save a few bucks on a copy cat. Luckily I spent a bit more the got the real deal, and I am glad I did. It's a wonderful brush and has everything you want in a mini brush. The longer handle on this model makes it even better. I am pleased with my purchase.

My 8 year old inherited my very coarse, very curly, ethnic Greek hair. I am so proud of her that she has already learned how to properly care for curly hair. The problem is that her father hates her curls. And when she is with him, He literally takes a dog brush to her beautiful locks determined to make them straight. He doesn't even let her use conditioner. Breaks my heart! When she comes home to me, naturally, because her hair's been mistreated, it is an absolute rats nest. I have tried so many various brushes and combs designed for thick curly hair - While they get the job done, they are not gentle on the abundance of knots that I must get out of her hair for it to be healthy again.     • The brush is much smaller than I expected...
I expected the brush to be much smaller. It was advertised as having a longer handle so that is why I bought this one with 5 rows over the 7 rows because I thought it would be easier to control with a longer handle... but overall it is a very petite brush so the handle is actually not long overall. Hard to explain but hope that makes sense. I am still using it for curl definition... learning the technique and getting some success, but wishing I had bought the one with 7 rows as I think it would give me more control overall. ... show more

I've been using Denman brushes for many years and always considered them to be the best. This particular one, which is full size model D143, I actually bought by accident thinking it was its smaller travel size cousin, the D14. Both have 5 rows and are difficult to distinguish from the pictures. Although the 5 row models, as opposed to the 7 and 9 row ones, are generally recommended for short hair, rather than return it for the D14 I offered it to my daughter-in-law who has long, straight, thick hair and she loved it saying it was better than what she was using. So much for the short hair theory as it seems this will work well for all lengths. You can't go wrong with the versatility and durability of a Denman. ... show more

    • Denman Brushes Cannot Be Beat
I buy Denman brushes exclusively for more than 35 years, because my hair is very thick and heavy and these are the only brushes that can shape it correctly and they last for YEARS. This size is great for your purse: small enough to fit, but still substantial enough to deal with your hair. For home use, I use the one with the extra heavy handle and nine rows of bristles. They clean up very easily and, in theory, they can even be taken apart and reassembled. I, however, would never be foolhardy enough to attempt it. Don't be fooled by the ones in most stores and pharmacies. They LOOK the same, but once you handle them, you can feel the difference in quality.     • Wrong brush. USED BRUSH!!!
So I bought this brush because I needed another one. Made sure I bought a 9 row brush. Got set a 5 row brush instead cool whatever. I actually look at it and it looks like there is dandruff in it!! I take it apart and there is clearly leave-in conditioner in it!!! You can clearly tell it was leave-in by the moisturizing texture and the smell GROSS!! ... show more
