I’m not exactly sure if this brush is real or not but there are many signs leading towards it being fake, or if it is real... Denman’s stepped down quite a few notches on the quality. The pic on the left is one that I’ve had for at least 10 years and has lasted me that long up until it broke a couple of weeks ago. Bought the one on the right and only after a few uses, the bristles are already looking as if it’s just as old. Additionally, the crowns above the “D’s” are not located in the same place as my older brush 🤔. The quality is horrible (see pic). NOT A REAL DENMAN BRUSH. The photos I will post will show the brush bought on here, the black brush with red rubber, and the brush I bought directly from Denmans website, which is red with white rubber. The quality of this brush is sad. It ripped my hair out and ruined my curl pattern.

Bought this for my girl about a week ago. Now I don't know if she brush her hair like a caveman or what but the whole brush has already fallen apart. I'm not blaming her in case you guys are confused, I am blaming the manufacturers of this brush. I do not recommend this to anybody, at least not the black one. When i first ordered it, I was thinking I'm going to be cooler than everyone else because i got the black one but maaaan was I wrong because now I'm sitting over here writing this complaint like a fool. I love this brush! I ordered because I saw a Youtube video of a girl with curly hair using it, and her curls came out amazing! I always do wash-and-gos, and I usually would only brush/comb my hair in the shower style it once I was out, but sometimes if I waited a little longer to style it, my hair would get dry and frizzy. It would be almost impossible to get my curls defined without getting back in the shower. With this brush, now all I have to do it spray my hair with water, put product in it, and comb it through with this brush, and my curls are poppin'! My image shows before and after use of the brush about 30 minutes after getting out of the shower. The brush is also very sturdy and you can take rows out if you want a looser curl! ... show more

Update July '20: After returning this poor quality version, I ordered 2 directly through the Denman USA website and got the exact quality I was expecting. The brush I received in June '20 through Amazon was definitely a knockoff. Original review: Knockoff! (Or Denman quality has gone dramatically downhill in 1 year, which I hope is not the case). I was so happy with my original brush, that I purchased a second brush in June '20 for a second bathroom and the difference in quality is very clear. The one on the left (darker red) in all my pictures is wonderful quality and purchased June '19. In comparison, the knockoff (in the right in all pics) is made of a different material. It smells and feels exactly like a playground rubber ball instead of being entirely odorless. The rubber is less structurally sound and the edges are completely unfinished. Not only is this absolutely ugly, but the rubber flexes too much while detangling and it's only a matter of time before it tears through. The bristles are also of a different strength - they're definitely less strong and don't brush through my hair nearly as well. The holes for the bristles are much smaller and, again, unfinished looking. I'm very unhappy with my second brush and am returning it. Hopefully this is just a knockoff and I'll be able to find a proper Denman in a brick and mortar store instead. 5 stars for a good quality version! Less than 1 star for this garbage. ... show more
