I really like this kit. To be honest I don’t know what I’m doing with most of the other stuff and would probably leave it to an expert, but it’s nice to have in case of emergency. The wax in here is great! There’s so much of it which is a nice plus. I also found the wax got plenty hot and worked well. The only complaint I have is the cord is super short. This kit is an insane value considering all the wax that is included. Bought this kit having never waxed or tuned my board before and had excellent results. Everying included felt quality and worked great. Iron did not get too hot, sraper worked well, edge tool was fine once i got the hang of it, ptex filled in well and didnt crack after my first use. I don't know if its typical but my kit came with a LARGE amount of the blue wax which was much appreciated. Everything (aside from the excess wax) fit well inside the case. The only things I bought to supplement this kit was a dedicated brush and a bottle of base cleaner. Had my first session with my freshly tuned up board (which REI quoted $50 for all the work) and was zooming down the mountain! Compact and came with a lot of additional wax packs. Pretty easy to use but will be more efficient with practice. The only thing I wish it included was instructions. I had to look it up online.

Everything was great, has all the parts you need to tune a board. Yes the iron is small but plenty big if you’re just tuning a board or two. Wax seems pretty quality. Word of caution, if you’re sharpening your edges, wear eye protection and avoid doing it in a windy place. Had a piece of metal hit me in the eye, had to get it removed by a doc. ... show more

Really like this kit. Has lots of good stuff in it. This is well worth the money. Just add a brass, nylon and horse hair brush and the set is mostly complete.

    • The iron kinda sucks but the rest of the materials are great!
Loved all the items it came with! I got everything the description said it came with, but the iron doesn't work well at all for me. Only the edges of the iron get hot, and it's so hard to wax my snowboard unless the temp is up all the way making the middle of the iron pretty warm. Kinda disappointed in that.
