Purchased this after living in Europe for a few years. It’s been a great machine providing fully automatic espresso or coffee depending on your chosen style. I have used it daily for the past 7 years for 2-6 cups a day, with more recently due to teenagers coming of age. With separate functions for latte or capocinno if you like milk/froth/foam with your coffee. So easy to use and modify to your tastes or for changes in your chosen coffee beans. In a pinch I’ve also used it with ground coffee as needed. I truly wouldn’t know what to do without this in my life. Very familiar with Delonghi,own Magnifica s for 13 years and still working great.Greased infuser several times a year and descaling 1 a month with citric acid.Purchased used from this seller( great ),machine come like new. With tapes and plastic on,no box,but very well packaged. Don’t think was even used.Just making great coffee without $$$. I also purchase Delonghi toaster oven,and love it for heating and cooking smaller meat. This is my second DeLonghi, the first went to my ex after 3 years of great service... The Elena was an upgrade, and I love it. I received it when family was visiting and my niece wanted a Flat White; it was so easy to make her one right out of the box. After that first weekend I was fine tuning programming Sunday night, looked at statistics, and we had made over 50 drinks for the 4 adults and 3 kids, with pics of each sent all over social media! Needless to say, we put it through its paces, and are 100% satisfied. I have a feeling several will be ordered for Christmas presents after a dinner party we’re hosting next weekend! ... show more

Overall better than the older DeLonghi that I replaced with this newer model. Pros: * updated control panel with touch sensitive buttons * larger capacity water tank and beans hopper * quieter (than older model) * standby power saving mode Cons: * dark roasted beans get stuck in hopper and don't flow through to grinder without an occasional stirring ... show more

This was an upgrade for us, from a Krups automatic espresso/coffee maker. Although the Krups served us well and has been passed on to a new owner, this machine is far more refined and versatile. The convenience of the milk frother is phenomenal! The bean hopper is quite substantial and the waste bin is to. Water reservoir is very easy to fill. We're loving this machine! ... show more

    • Not very easy to use.
For some reason the grinding feature does not work properly, always said to refill coffee beans, but still full. Need to push into grinder with hand. Any ideas?

After a significant amount of research, I decided to buy the ECAM44660B Eletta Espresso Machine from DeLonghi. The ease of use, the number of drinks to choose from, the level of customization, and the machine's crema system convinced me to stop buying espresso drinks at the coffee shop every morning. So far, I have been impressed by the machine and would highly recommend it! Despite my very positive experience, the espresso maker is expensive. 4 stars for value for money.
