Have had a big split unit in my living room for years and would use fans to move the cool air into the other rooms. Finally decided to add units into each bedroom and a basement family room. Ordered this, delivered by lift gate truck nice and easy. Took me a bit to install because I had to run the lines through floor joists and walls and pour a pad for the outdoor unit. Finished it up, purged with nitrogen and pressure checked at 300psi, no leaks so I vacuumed it out and released the refrigerant. Every room in the house is 72deg and super comfortable on the recent 90+ deg days, and the outdoor unit is just purring along. Very happy. ... show more

My central heat pump failed and would have costed me $18,000 for a replacement through a company. Thats alot of money most people don't have including myself. So I decided to take the DIY route and install this unit in my 1800 sq ft house and it was the best decision I could have made. This thing is so much more efficient than my old central unit and zoned temps make all rooms feel exactly how you want. Even on the turbo setting the fan is whisper quiet. Only downside so far is the lack of a fully functional mobile app. Do your research and watch some tutorials and you'll find that this unit is more than worth it. ... show more

Well we saved money by buying these and doing it ourselves. My husband is a sprinkler fitter and has some construction knowledge. I have a 1000 square ft house and we put one in the basement, one in the living room and one in our bedroom. The window AC were killing us at 400+ electric bills and the house was uncomfortable and not that cool. The window AC if I cooked the house got hotter, but with this unit it was awesome. My bills went down and I was finally comfortable. I have boiler heat in this house and we tested the heat and they work great and if my boiler goes out I’m glad to have a back up. FYI they need a way to drain. I think the drain tubes provided are cheap and you can up grade that ... show more

It does come with everything but everything is short 16ft you’ll find out isn’t enough and you’ll end up having to get longer lines and cables. Our house is only 1200sqft and the wires are just not long enough at all to reach the condenser.
