First off, if you plan to have the line set and drain go directly out behind the unit, don’t trust the template. As you should be able to see in my attached picture, once you bend the line set out at 90* the hole needs to be much closer to the mounting bracket. It’s almost as if the template is a mirror image. But, this is DIY. Buy a vacuum pump and an adapter for it; and save hundreds compared to a Mr. cool unit. Supposedly this is a rebranded Pioneer unit. I can’t speak to the longevity of it as I only finished the install today, but so far I am impressed. My upstairs bedroom used to be so hot in the summer due to vaulted ceilings in my main living space, this will allow me to chill my bedroom without having to freeze the rest of my house. I imagine it will pay for itself this year. ... show more

The template is not exact like older model Della. The line set is very short and it doesn’t lock so well on wall. Unit performs well. Let’s hope it lasts.features are better than some very expensive units. Buy it you won’t be disappointed

    • Amazing Budget Heat/Cool System - With Some Limitations

Install was fairly straight forward, but does require an HVAC Pump and gauges to pull a vacuum. Additional tools and supplies added about $200 to the price. The line set was fine, and I did not need to reflare the line prior to install, but did use Nylog Blue for all connections. The head unit was very plasticy, including the tabs that hold the bottom to the wall. because I chose to use the opposite side to run the line set out, I still had the lines behind the unit and it was difficult to get the tabs snapped in place on the wall mount. My only complaint with the system is the lack of adjustability on the auto setting. It is preset and cannot be adjusted from 77 for cooling and 68 for heating. 68 I can live with but 77 is a bit too warm for my application. Also, the app is great, however, you cannot change between heating/cooling in the app. Whatever it is set (heating mode or cooling mode), is what the app will let you select. Only option is to use the auto mode. (Not normally something you'd need, but while I was travelling, the temps went from 80's to 40's, so it was frustrating not being able to set the temp for heat only). It's also going to run the fan constantly to keep the air moving over the thermostat inside the head unit. only way to have it completely shut off is to turn it off (unlike normal hvac that will only kick on when the temp drops) I will say the outdoor unit is amazingly quiet compared to anything else. ... show more

Great price. Easy install. Customer service was top notch via email. Small issue in shipping, they took care of it. Outside unit was so quite I didn't think it turned on at first. Inside unit is even quieter. My central ac vents are louder. I'm surprised on the warranty length. Longevity is my only wonder but the warranty is incredible. Time will tell. I don't right reviews but I had to for this baby. Game changer and cheap. ... show more

Purchased this unit and it was damaged in transit, so the company thankfully replaced it. Unfortunately, the second unit does not cool. The fan works great but no cool air comes out. I requested a refund but they won’t honor it because the it has been over 30 days since the first arrived. I appealed and have not gotten my refund. This is a very expensive fan.
