I recently had installed the DELLA Motto Series 12000 BTU Wifi Enabled Mini Split in my bonus room (about 600+ sq. ft.), and I couldn’t be happier with the results. This unit is a powerhouse! It effortlessly heats and cools the space, keeping the temperature just right year-round. One of the things that really stands out is how energy-efficient it is. Even with running both the cooling and heating functions, my utility bills have already started to drop—such a nice surprise! The 20 SEER2 rating is definitely paying off. The R32 refrigerant also helps make it more environmentally friendly, which is a huge plus. First, I’d like to thank everybody who had reviewed it and convinced me to buy it. If you’re on the fence and buying these, do yourself a favor and buy them. I have bought two these units and they have completely changed the comfort in my home. The biggest thing is the humidity that it pulls out of the house -game changer. They are very quiet and cool very quickly and the best part is I can control them from my phone. A little tricky to set up the app but it is a convenience I do like . They are fairly straightforward to install with plenty of videos on YouTube to guide you. Once you install one, it’s a breeze to install the next. I used nylog on the flairs, tried to use a torque wrench with crows feet but worked horrible. I just hand tightened them with two (average size )wrench’s - this way you can’t over tighten them. Hung them on the house with brackets with rubber bushing on Amazon. I have minimal vibration Hopefully they last a while -as you never know the Durability of these units. Do your homework on which brand to buy-take your time, and you won’t be disappointed! ... show more

So, This machine completely failed me after 18 months. First, you can NOT get a professional AC service to assist with installing these machines, they will refuse to help. I called several and they just refused. Second, once I installed it, and got it working, after 18 months the unit failed. Fortunately, a friend of a friend was an AC tech who has availability, was able to use a halogen detector and found that both the inside unit AND the outside unit were leaking refrigerant. I called support, however the company would NOT honor it's warranty because I could NOT get a licensed AC tech to install the machines initially, and failed to return the warranty card with said info/license numbers. The irony is they'll rent you the equipment you need to install the machine, while telling you you need a professional tech to do it. Knowing you're going to do it yourself. So if/when things go wrong, they can pretend it's all on you. Even if i could prove [with my current tech] that the failure was mechanical and not anything I did improperly. So I was forced to completely replace the unit. So the TL;DR is - with this unit you are on your own. If it fails, you're on your own. If you need it recharged, you're on your own. Perhaps go with another company that actually stands behind their equipment. ... show more

After many hours of research, I decided to purchase the 12,000 BTU Della split unit. I was very skeptical of the reviews, with all of the AI ads popping up after you type in a manufacturers name, but thought how could I go wrong with a thirty day return policy and decided to pull the trigger on it. I watched a couple of videos on installation, then gathered up my tools and went to work installing the line set to the wall mounted unit and with a friend’s help, we hung the inside unit. Afterwards we moved to the outside connected the power then the line set to the outdoor unit. I watched another video on evacuation of the lines then proceeded to pump it down. We tested to see if it would hold and not leak down for an hour, then released the Freon into the unit. I reseated the disconnect for power which connects the outside unit to the inside wall mounted unit. We went inside and turned the unit on and set it up on WiFi then tested it. This was installed in a Florida room surrounded by windows and very little insulation. This Della split unit performed flawlessly. Best purchase I’ve made in at least 15 years, the unit is very quiet indoors and out. The best part is that it doesn’t run continuously like the old window unit where the electric bill averaged $8.00 a day. The Della ran yesterday and the cost was $1.00, I’m extremely satisfied with this product and may purchase another for my golf simulator room. Thank you Della. ... show more

    • Amazing Budget Heat/Cool System - With Some Limitations

Install was fairly straight forward, but does require an HVAC Pump and gauges to pull a vacuum. Additional tools and supplies added about $200 to the price. The line set was fine, and I did not need to reflare the line prior to install, but did use Nylog Blue for all connections. The head unit was very plasticy, including the tabs that hold the bottom to the wall. because I chose to use the opposite side to run the line set out, I still had the lines behind the unit and it was difficult to get the tabs snapped in place on the wall mount. My only complaint with the system is the lack of adjustability on the auto setting. It is preset and cannot be adjusted from 77 for cooling and 68 for heating. 68 I can live with but 77 is a bit too warm for my application. Also, the app is great, however, you cannot change between heating/cooling in the app. Whatever it is set (heating mode or cooling mode), is what the app will let you select. Only option is to use the auto mode. (Not normally something you'd need, but while I was travelling, the temps went from 80's to 40's, so it was frustrating not being able to set the temp for heat only). It's also going to run the fan constantly to keep the air moving over the thermostat inside the head unit. only way to have it completely shut off is to turn it off (unlike normal hvac that will only kick on when the temp drops) I will say the outdoor unit is amazingly quiet compared to anything else. ... show more

Installation was straight forward with all the parts needed except your tools. I paid for an HVAC person to charge the unit. This appears to be an upgrade from the Della Mini Split I purchased 3 years ago. Both units are working great! I have about 500 square feet of space per unit. Last year my first unit kept the room pleasantly cool in 110 degree heat. The heater kept the room warm at 15 degrees in the winter. Lastly, the remote to my second unit was missing with the product. Customer service answered my request for a replacement within 4 hours. Amazing! ... show more
