I primarily use MacOS for work and have a nice MBP but I also needed a Windows 10 machine and after much research settled on the latest Dell XPS 13 with the 7th gen Kaby Lake processor. I purchased this shortly before Christmas and wanted to wait a couple of months before posting a review. I can honestly say that after eight weeks of use, the XPS 13 has been a great machine. I started off running the anniversary build of Win 10 but have been running the (fast) dev previews of the creators release coming later this spring. Smooth sailing all around. No coil whine either as I was a bit concerned before buying considering some of the reviews mention this. Machine is fast and runs cool. Fan noise is almost always inaudible except when playing a game via Steam. Next up I'll partition off a section of the HD for a Linux install. One last thing: the UHD display is stunning and Windows scales nicely, at least at 200%. Conclusion: I couldn't be happier with my choice for a Win machine. ... show more

  • Excellent.
So far so good, no major issues. Pros: ** Thin, light, fast. ** Battery life is very good. ** Seems very well built. Cons: ** Space bar has a center membrane contact. So if I hit it off to the end / side, it doesn't work. ** Bottom vents. When I really work the proc, it gets hot unless I have it propped up. ** Thunderbolt 3 is a little finicky. Overall a very nice laptop. I'd give it 5-stars, but the spacebar sucks. ... show more

  • Bad service and malfunctioning hardware
I purchase Dell XPS 13.3" 9369 from this seller several months ago. The computer didn't work properly ever since the moment I started to use it. At first, it was getting stuck periodically. After a couple of weeks, it was becoming blazing hot even during light usage. In the end, one day it simply died and didn’t turn on anymore. I contacted Dell support and it turned out my year-long warranty has only a couple of weeks left instead of 7 months. How is that possible? Apparently, this seller bought the computer from Dell but didn’t renew the warranty to be a year-long, as he should. I was stuck with Dell support for many work hours as the seller ignored my messages and his responsibilities. In the end, Dell erased the hard disk and replaced the computer’s motherboard, but it’s still showing similar symptoms as before. Because of this seller, I am stuck with a malfunctioning computer. The seller repeatedly ignored the messages I’ve sent him regarding the situation. Maybe other sellers are slightly more expensive, but at least you would get proper service and functioning equipment… Don’t buy from this one!!! ... show more

  • Garbage. And that's why most of the reviews are terrible.
Update 2 years later: I deeply, deeply regret buying this laptop. It has been re-imaged repeatedly and is still unusable. It is now strictly decorative because of driver issues, blue screens, and and horrible connectivity issues. I should just throw it away but I can't bear to do that given the $1200.00 I paid for it. Stay away from Dell. Far, far away. Update: Dropping this to 2 start. Incredibly, the keyboard on this machine doesn't support extended character sets AT ALL. This is directly from Dell support. This means you cannot use ALT+ codes to ANY type accented letters, an enye, etc. This is a stunning oversight on Dell's part and I will never again own a Dell product. I'm very happy with this laptop. It's light, the display is gorgeous, and it offers great battery life. I'm a photographer and have pushed this hard while editing in Photoshop (CS6 installed locally), and it's managed to keep up. It crashes occasionally but that's probably because I'm using an old version of PS. The only complaints I have are the awkward placement of the web cam and the finish around the keyboard. It looks good and is comfortable but picks up the oils from your skin easily and looks gross after a few days of use. It cleans right up with slightly damp microfiber cloth, though. The laptop is also a little tough to open. All in all, I'm very pleased with this little workhorse. ... show more

  • Good, but overrated, and video out is a problem.
I've been buying Dells for nearly as long as it's been possible and this is the first time I've regretted the purchase. First, after 4 months, a day came when I got a rapid-fire series of blue-screens-of-death. Then, when t the computer came back up, it wouldn't accept my password. I had to get a colleague to spend time hacking a work-around and getting me back online. Worse, there is simply no easy (and reasonably inexpensive) way to use an external monitor or a (non)bluetooth projector. No HDMI slot Now, I knew when I bought it there was no HDMI slot, But, I trusted that Dell's mini-whatever-the-heck-kind-connector this is would be workable. So far, it's not, and a google search of the problem will confirm that. It's fast and powerful and the screen is fine, but nothing to write home about. Nice crisp keyboard. Lightweight and thin. Excellent battery life. ... show more

  • Takes some time and patience getting used to Windows 10, Microsoft Edge and the Touch Screen. After 2 weeks you’ll be a pro.
Once you get past learning to navigate Windows 10 and Microsoft Edge this laptop is awesome. Boots up quickly, response time is super fast. The help feature is very useful until comfortable with navigating and accessing files etc. Love the touchscreen but be careful - I learned the hard way not to wipe lint from the screen. ... show more
