  • A great dock with all the features I could need.
After using this dock for a while now, I am happy to report that it performs as well as I have expected and then some. I bought this while I had just a few peripherals and one screen. I am using it today between a Dell XPS 15 laptop and a MacBook Pro M3 and I am able to seamlessly handle the dual screen ( I can even also use the screen of the laptops as well, so it does support a 3 screen setup ), along with an external camera, a USB microphone, a keyboard and mouse USB combo, a Huion tablet all working fine between the two laptops making my transition from work to home as simple as a flip of one thunderbolt cable. I am really happy I went for the thunderbolt model at the time. I have had to update the firmware a couple of times but otherwise it's been just plug and forget. The ability to power on my Windows laptop with the button on the dock itself is quite nice, although that does not seem to work with OSX. That however is a minor inconvenience. ... show more

  • Still working after 2-1/2 years. Good. Compatible with other brands.
I purchsed this to use with my Dell XPS 9575 2-in-1 and fully worked no issues, daily driver. Powered this power hog laptop without issue.'' Now last year I got an intel NUC 12th gen i7 and just connected the dock and worked just fine. It does not power the PC though. Still my mini pc has exactly two cables coming out of it, power and dock, very convenient. I also purchased one for my boss almost two years ago and who has an hp elite 360 something convertible laptop with 13th generation i7 and works just as well he has had zero issues. ... show more

  • One dock to rule them all?
We've been looking for a dock that will work with a Macbook M1 and a Windows laptop for a while. Tried a couple of Ankur USB-C hubs, but both had different compromises and occasional USB drop outs. So far this dock seems to do everything with respect to supporting different devices with a single connection, at a reasonable price compared with other Thunderbolt/USB4 docks, and with very little compromise. It appears to be capable of delivering up to 90W of power to any USB-C device, while it is rated for up to 135W of power delivery when connected to a compatible Dell laptop. I tested on a single 1440p ultrawide monitor with a max refresh rate of 165Hz, along with a Razer wireless mouse + Logitech wireless keyboard (each with their own dongle). Note: Multiple display support will be device dependent and I did not test that. 1. Macbook M1. Provides 90w of power delivery according to "system_profiler SPPowerDataType". Outputs 3440x1440 (1440p ultrawide) at 165Hz via the first displayport connector. 1440p ultrawide works at 60Hz via the HDMI connector. Also tested a logitech usb webcam with the macbook. 2. Razer Blade 14 (2021 version with AMD Ryzen CPU + RTX 3070). Outputs 3440x1440 (1440p ultrawide) at 165Hz via the first displayport connector. Works well, but I needed to disable g-sync to prevent the picture dropping out when in a game*. 1440p ultrawide at 60Hz via the HDMI connector. Also tried the USB-C DP connector and that worked at 165Hz as well. 3. Steam Deck. Outputs 3440x1440 (1440p ultrawide) at 100Hz via the first displayport connector. Higher display frequencies would not output. The USB-C DP port did not work with the Steam Deck. 4. Asus Chromebook. Outputs 3440x1440 (1440p ultrawide) at 60Hz via the first displayport connector. I'm assuming the 60Hz is a limit of this device. 5. Dell Latitude 7420. Only tested briefly and it worked as expected :-) *In the one case where I tried g-sync through the doc the screen would flash black and then back. I assume this is due to the refresh rate dropping out of a range supported by the monitor or dock, but will need to investigate more. The power button on the dock will most likely only work with a compatible Dell laptop. It *might* work with a TB4 or USB4 device as well, but I don't have one to test. ... show more

  • Finally
Finally a dock that works. I have gone crazy this last month trying to find a replacement docking station. I have gone through 3 docks of all sorts in the last month. The first attempt was the Dell 19, which just didnt work with my model, so I tried other brands and that worked out poorly, with one being dead on arrival. So I figured I'd go back to what I know and see if the 22TB can bail me out of my insanity. So far it is working fantastic for me. I can hook it up to either my Dell or Lenovo laptop and with a simple swap of a cord, I can switch modes. I have two 32" curved monitors, extended along with my laptop screen, plus a wireless keyboard, mouse and USB headset and I haven't noticed any lag. I registered it with Dell in case of any issues, but so far, so good. My only complaint is that the thunder cable is hardwired in, so I'm stuck with their length. All the same, fingers crossed that this one last me for a bit. ... show more
