    • BEWARE - Laptops with a virus!
They sent a refurbished laptop that had a very aggressive virus. Amazon didn't care, nor did the seller. Upon simply setting up the laptop for the first time the virus started duplicating itself so quickly we couldn't do ANYTHING. Anti-virus software couldn't stop it - nothing worked because the virus kept duplicating si quickly. Garbage product and even worse customer support. All they did was call me a liar and say all their products go through extensive processes - LOL ... show more

    • Great compact laptop
I use this laptop for school assignments and writing projects. It works very well for that purpose! The CPU gets pretty hot pretty quickly if it's overwhelmed and it doesn't seem like the fan helps too much. For basic use that won't happen, but this computer cannot handle games or screen sharing very well... If that's what you want, look elsewhere. If you need a compact machine to do basic tasks, this is a great option. It travels very well and the matte screen makes it great for working outside. The touchscreen is responsive and the backlit keys have two brightness settings. A year and a half out, it's still working great. ... show more

I detest and despise Windows, beginning with Windows 10; but wanted a 2-in-1 laptop with the specifications of this laptop. I've used Windows since 1993 with version 3.1 and needed to continue with Windows ONLY to assist a friend with her computer needs. I did Upgrade to Windows 11 Pro, 24H2, which took three hours. It was a pain going from 22H2 to 24H2. In the process, this has become my secondary laptop when in the family room watching TV. When I find an article or email to share with my wife, folding the lid to become a "tablet" and with the relatively light weight of the laptop, makes the process easy for me to pass and for her to handle. Eventually when the hardware can no longer support a Windows Upgrade, this will become a Linux laptop. Linux is my preferred OS. With this laptop's large SSD capacity, I may dual boot Windows with Linux Mint. If I do, I will wait until the end of the 90 day warranty. By the way, this laptop is FAST. I have installed apps/programs, pictures, and a lot of music files which hasn't slowed this Windows Wonder. UPDATE on January 6, 2025 The only problem that is aggravating is that when I fully charge the battery, then turn off the laptop; when I open it up and turn it on again (at least for eight hours), the battery drains down to 54% or lower. The laptop was supposed to be in "Excellent" condition with at least an 80% battery power. UPDATE on January 18, 2025 After doing a lot of research and doing some techniques to extend the battery life, nothing worked. Therefore, I bought a new battery, installed it, and still doing the specified charging for a new battery. This new battery does not have the draining problem. I conclude that the laptop battery, being sold in "Excellent" condition, was not replaced to achieve the 80% or more capacity. ... show more

    • Wont Start! Save Your Money!
I got this laptop because i had to have a few surgeries and i needed a computer with me. This seemed like the best bang for the buck and i have had a few Dell laptops before, but i loved the 2 in 1 factor. That being said, what a bummer this has become! I'm in the hospital and after surgery i have to set up my fantasy football lineup and this Dell 5300 decided not to boot up! It is fully charged and nothing, nada, zip. This was not the first time this has happened, but after i had it working i thought it was good to go.....Silly me!!! I would stay far away from this model unless you feel like throwing away your hard earned money! ... show more
