  • Good product
My bedroom is very humid. This dehumidifier was super simple to set up. Since buying this dehumidifier, I’ve noticed that the clothes in my closet feel drier than they did before using this product. It picks up a good amount of water, so we’ve been emptying the tank about 4-5 days or so, whenever we notice that it’s shut off and is full. It’s pretty close to my bed, but the noise doesn’t bother me at all. It sounds like a fan running. The lights aren’t super bright either, so I haven’t had any trouble sleeping with it in my room. ... show more

  • Didn’t work.
Don’t recommend. Many similar reviews to our experience: Turned on, but the fan didn’t. Got hot on top but never collected water which it should have bc our bathroom is a VERY humid and moist room which is why we bought it. Returning and trying another brand.

  • Not a bad little dehumidifier
I picked this up because we’re in a rental and the main bathroom fan is woefully insufficient. You can see the water damage from the steam and it takes HOURS to dry the room out. I wanted something small that would help in this space which is no bigger than about 6x6. The first unit arrived DOA. It must have had a seized motor because the fan never spun, the unit hummed and within 3 minutes the top of the unit was hot enough to fry an egg. I give the seller a LOT of credit here - they not only took the unit back but had a new one on my doorstep the next day. I didn’t take a star away for the DOa unit because their service was outstanding. The problem is that it’s underpowered. I love the lights…it makes for a nice nightlight for the bathroom. The issue is that bathroom is like a steam shower with the fan running AND the door open. I’ve tried leaving this in the room with the door closed and 2 days after I started using it I have no more than 3/4 of an inch of water in the unit - and the room is still damn for hours after a shower even with the door open. That thing should be filling up much faster than it is. It does a good job for light dehumidification but even in a small bathroom is not great. I would use this in a smaller room like a bedroom or a storage room where you get a little moisture but not a ton. That’s where star #4 went - for $50 this should pull more water from the air. If it were $25-30 I’d have given it 5 stars because the price would match the performance but for $50…4 stars. There are better options at that price point. ... show more

  • Underwhelming, but it works
The first time I plugged this dehumidifier in, the display and light came on but the fan did not. The top of the unit did get hot, so I assumed it was working. After several hours, though, it hadn't collected a single drop of water. I turned the unit off disassembled it, then reassembled it and plugged it into a different outlet. That started up the fan and it began to work. After several days of running continuously, though, the unit was still only half full of water. I'd estimate it's gathering a little more than half a cup per day. Granted, the temperature has been in the low to mid 70s during the time I've been using it but the humidity has been fairly high and it's not being used in a small space. The conditions aren't ideal but the product listing only says the unit is less effective under 40 degrees. It's working, though, and it's doing so without much noise. I'm just not impressed with how much moisture it's removing from the air. I like that the light can be turned off, and while I'm not going to use the timed dehumidifying it is an added feature. Since the fan is pretty quiet it would be easy to just leave it the unit running in a room that suffers from excess moisture. Overall, it's an okay dehumidifier. It does the job, and I'm hopeful it will help prevent my clothes from growing mold spots and getting corroded zippers. It just doesn't seem like it's removing much water from the air considering how much it's been running. ... show more

  • Great Humidity Control!
I recently bought the HSECPTOW 42 OZ Dehumidifier, and it has made a significant difference in my home! This compact unit is perfect for my bedroom and bathroom, effectively managing humidity in spaces up to 360 sq.ft. One of the standout features is how quiet it operates; I can barely hear it running, which is a huge plus for my sleep quality. The auto shut-off feature is also a great safety addition, providing peace of mind when I'm not around. I love the 7 color light options! It adds a nice ambiance to my room, making it feel cozy and inviting. The 42 oz capacity means I don't have to empty it constantly, which is very convenient. Overall, this dehumidifier is easy to use, efficient, and stylish. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve air quality and reduce moisture in their home! Five stars all the way! 🌬️💧✨ ... show more

  • Didn't work at all.
I had high hopes for this as our house tends to have a slightly too-high ambient humidity above 50%. I tried this dehumidifier in our bathroom that was more like 70% for the entire day (8+ hours). It didn't produce a single drop of water. It also smelled quite a bit like melting plastic and the top of it was very hot. I would not recommend this one. ... show more

  • Not Great
I live in a very humid area and I have a large dehumidifier that I have to empty daily (often more than once). I figured I'd give this thing a try. I put it in my garage, which somehow manages to often be more humid than outside. After 48 hours, the tank was about half full. That's not nothing, but it's pretty close. You might notice that the description of the dehumidifier says "In a small, enclosed room with a humid environment of 86°F and 85% RH, it can collect up to 15 OZ". It's implied that those are its optimum operating conditions, and the results are still not great. You can also see from my picture that the dehumidifier's box states "Excellent MOLSTURE Prevention". Maybe that's the problem; it's sucking all the molsture out of the air. I needed something for moisture. Honest mistake. ... show more

  • Works Well
Sucks in a lot of humidity from my kiddos upstairs bath. They're in a converted attic and the bathroom can retain moisture sometimes after a shower. This helps the shower vent keep up with that.
