The dehumidifier does not work. Is the full tank indicator flashing? The tank may be full, or it may be incorrectly positioned. Please empty the water from the tank and then reposition it correctly. The dehumidifier does not work. Is the room temperature between 41°F and 68°F? When running under lower ambient temperatures, the machine will automatically defrost; this is a normal phenomenon. Wait until the defrost process finishes, and it will restart dehumidifying again. The dehumidifier does not work. Is the room humidity below or at the preset level? If it has reached the preset level, the dehumidifier will enter Standby Mode, and the indicators will flash. Set the humidity to 5% lower than the current level or to 30% RH. The dehumidifier does not work. Does the machine just stop working now? There is a frequent start function issue in the machine. Please wait for more than 3 minutes.

My old Frigidaire in the basement kept throwing faults after everything was done to repair it, so it was time to find a replacement. I'm happy with this so far. The only thing I don't care for is how the water hose attaches. It has no fitting to screw on a standard garden hose, just the tube that came with it without threads that you push onto the fitting (still hoping it doesn't pop off). I inserted the other end into a garden hose and used duct tape to join them together. Not ideal but it works. Overall I'm quite pleased with how it's removing humidity and it also runs quietly. We'll see how well it holds up as so far it's only been one month. ... show more

Incredibly quiet and keeping my 1100sq ft house at a perfect humidity. We have a lot of issues with moisture (old house) and I've always had a dehumidifier running because our central air is a little too efficient at cooling and doesn't run long enough to pull much moisture. This thing is a beast. It's so quiet I forget it's running and is pulling a lot of water from the air. I appreciate the built quality, it feels incredibly solid. I actually really like that the intake is on the back too because I have to run the drain into our utility sink and I'm able to set the front of the unit against the wall and have the drain face the sink. ... show more

    • Does the job!
This is a small unit, and it is very quiet, but it's not as powerful as I thought it would be to handle 3500 sq ft. The fan on high isn't much different than low, IMO. I'm wondering if there is an advertising error. The price was also very reasonable given its stated capacity compared to others. It was simple to set up out of the box; just plug and play. I haven't read the manual yet; I'll check it out tomorrow, but the panel is self-explanatory. The water catcher is very small too, but I'm not dealing with extreme humidity to worry about it. It's supposed to shut off when it's full, I hope. It's a nice unit; I like the large front display of the humidity so you don't have to go to the unit and look at the top display. I'm just a little underwhelmed with it right now. Update: It's now been about 20 hrs since I first put this into operation, from 7 pm last night to 3 pm today, and I just got the alert sound that indicates the water container is full. I removed it and sure enough it was almost to the top, I poured it into a measuring cup first and I got 8 cups (2 quarts) of water drawn out of the air inside my home, that's a lot of water in that short span of time, now I'm impressed given the reading of the humidity has been at 30% the whole time which I figure wouldn't do much for me since that is the lowest setting! I agree the bucket is not very big, so you will need to attend to it at least daily if you don't hook up the external drain hose. This is inside my living space, so draining is not really an option. The auto shut-off does work well. I still don't know if I can attest that it covers 3500 sq ft, which I'm guessing is referring to standard ceilings and one large open space. But I have vaulted ceilings, which has more air volume, and although it's an open floor plan, there are walls separating bedrooms and a hallway. I also left a window open until noon, as it was less humid outside than inside last night. It builds up in the house and is harder to cool down (I have no AC right now, and this is the monsoon season in AZ). Right now, my home weather station says the outside humidity is just 19% (dew point is 53%, which is a more accurate measure of humidity; above 50% you are becoming uncomfortable), but the inside humidity reading is 10% higher than outside @ 29%, which is exactly what this dehumidifier is displaying right now, so it's accurate! The inside numbers have stayed relatively the same, but I feel more comfortable, at least while it is in the area I am in. My kitchen, dining, and family room are in the same space with an arch opening to another space that's just as big, but the air can move from one space to the other, just more restricted with a partial wall. My weather station is in the far end of my family room, and the dehumidifier is in the middle of my formal living area and both display the same humidity numbers! I think given more time to evaluate its performance under various conditions. As I understand if doors are open in other rooms, air will circulate on its own, so one dehumidifier can eventually treat all the air in your home. I read it suggests moving or rotating it periodically will increase its effectiveness, so you don't have to buy additional units. Tonight I will move it to the family room. If you have a family going out or coming in, it can reduce its performance too. I'm one person by myself, retired, but I still open doors, just not as often. If I learn anything more, I'll update this review. ... show more

Dehumidifier did not come with the advertised 6.5 ft hose which was one of the selling points for me when making a decision on which brand to purchase. It came with a 3 ft hose instead. It also has a slightly high pitched whine when running.
