living in the cold area like us is definitely a challenge in winter . either you need to pay for a higher electric bill or heating oil . otherwise , you have to get a dehumidifier like us to make sure your house is dry enough so that you won’t get mold . I found out I was allergic to mold years ago and I got to have all family members to turn on the dehumidifier after shower , but we have two bathrooms and the older one likes to use the bathroom in the master room which doesn’t have dehumidifier in there . And of course I realized the window is getting lots of mold again . coz the kids they don’t bother to move the dehumidifier from one room to the other . So I guessed getting another one is very necessary , this one is perfect size to sit in between the shower room and vanity , it is quiet , it is easy to use , it has all the settings I need . It stops when the humidity levels are low enough . The only thing is the water tank is much smaller than my previous one . But it comes with hose which would solve the problem too . and I only use it in the master room . So it is not a big problem at all . ... show more

It is quiet and dehumidifies effeciently.Has a very small resovoir , especially compared to our older units.If not connected to drain continuously to external bucket it would fill to fast and not be good for our use.

I used this dehumidifier in my basement, and it made a noticeable difference. My basement always feels a bit damp, especially in the mornings, but after running this for a while the air felt much drier. It's quiet enough . The tank is a good size and easy to empty. Do not buy this item. The water tank is extremely small and not worth it. It was full less than 12 hours ON. The other small dehumidifier that I have, have larger tanks and take 3-4 days to fill not. Not worth it and even more for the price. Better to buy 2 small ones with larger tanks than this. Very disappointed as it states for large sq feet. ... show more

    • This dehumidifier has a design flaw.
This dehumidifier has a short and flimsy drain hose, so you have to be within three feet or so from the drain to use it. There is no option to connect a garden hose to the dehumidifier, so it could be used farther from the floor drain. Otherwise the unit seems fine. It is quiet and seems to do a good job. It was packaged well and arrived without damage. Be sure to set the unit upright for 24 hours before using to avoid damage. We did buy the extended warranty because other dehumidifiers we had did not last very long. We do not usually do this. ... show more
