This item works very well at lowering the humidity.i had bought it to go with a air cooler. However even after the humidity was greatly reduced! The air cool( ( a sepret purchase from this dehumidifier) still a peace of garbage if you need a dehumidifier this one works great just be careful what air cooler you buy!!!

After running for over 8 hours, my house is now hotter and more humid than outside. I had 3 of these rubbing in a 1000 sq ft house. They should have been more than capable of reducing the humidity inside the house. All 3 went from 57 humidity reading on the front of the units to 60-61 and the house temperature increased 5 degrees. During that tone I did no cooking or showers or anything with water in the house. There's no reason for the humidity to have gone up. Would like to return for full refund. Will not purchase again.
