They’re pretty good, but the voice does not work You’re gonna have to buy that by yourself to have a voice, and sometimes when it’s on it changes colors. They change it back to normal. And for 4k. I don’t know about that.

Upgrading my 8 camera HD system to this 16 camera 4k system. 8/12 Purchase 8/14 Delivered and Installed; device did not connect. 8/15 Troubleshot with Defender and was told I needed a new T.V. The T.V I was using was 'old' and did not support 4k. 8/16 Purchased a brand new T.V specifically for the system; Device did not connect - I am still having issues. Tomorrow I will call Defender back and continue to troubleshoot whatever the issue might be. 8/17 After some troubleshooting & purchasing the latest T.V they identified my DVR needs replacement. 8/18 Got my label 8/19 Shipped back 8/22 Was told my replacement DVR would ship out in a week. Really dissatisfied at this point. I have cameras for peace of mind and I have been without any camera coverage for some time now. My original DVR went out and I was told it was no longer available and the reason why I went from HD to 4k. The next best option for us was to upgrade our system to the 4k but It does not feel like this is the best. This has been a headache. 9/14 - Got the new DVR installed but the 1080p cameras seemed to be clearer/better for us. The 4k looks cartoonish. Also, I cannot get my cameras on my phone app - I've been emailing and trying to call about this but they just keep sending me videos with instructions that DO NOT work. 9/22 - Still have not gotten the app going. The company only reaches out via e-mail they don't make phone calls. ... show more

I just received the Defender 4K camera system with the "Amazon Exclusive" of 2 extra cables. However, the system arrived with only 5 cables. So that's 4 cameras and 5 cables, which is clearly not 2 extra cables (hence the 3 star rating). Update...Defender resolved the issue with the cable. Good customer service and the camera system is excellent. Not getting what you pay for aside, setting up the DVR is simple and the Defender App works great. All cameras functioned properly when tested prior to install and the video clarity is excellent. ... show more

Nearly almost a 500 dollar system and half of the cameras didn’t work and the night vision is garbage. It wasn’t for me at all
