EDIT: the lamp did start charging again! And has been working great. It may be that it needed to charge for a while before it started working again. It is very small but I like that I can move it around the house to wherever it’s needed as long as it’s charged. I just keep it plugged in all the time (not sure that’s the best strategy) so it’s always working. I really loved this lamp for reading as it's portable and bright. But sadly after a few weeks, now it will not charge, so the light it currently getting dimmer (which happens as the charge diminishes) and will eventually die altogether. Very sad as I was loving using it. Will have to return. Note also that it's pretty small - about a foot tall. ... show more

I Love This Little Lamp ! It Came on when I was pulling out of Box. Do charge it as soon as you get it because the Instructions say to. It is the PERFECT Size to put on night stand & put on one of 3 settings. I use it when I don't want to turn on my bigger lamp. I also use it for late night reading 📚. I purchased this little lamp for my mother that has macular and loves to play cards. We've tried clip on lamps and head lamps but neither worked out for her as she changes tables (playing Bridge). I thought, there has to be a little battery operated lamp. YES! There was and I'm actually glad it's smaller than expected. It's lightweight and bends easily to fit in her purse. It shines only where she wants the light and it's bright! Several of her friends loved it too and went out and purchased them so now there are several playing bridge with their own personal lights. I will be purchasing another for myself as it will be perfect for setting up my tiny work space traveling and camping. We've only been using it a couple weeks so can't speak to durability over time. I will say we were pleasantly surprised for $15 to have solved a problem that has persisted for my mom for so long. Also, it is NOT battery operated. It's charged by USB cable but has lasted several card games (3-4 hours a pop) and still held a charge. There are so many potential uses. The base is not super heavy so I give it a tiny "ding" as it could tip over .. but that really hasn't been an issue and it's much more portable being so lightweight. ... show more

I expected these lights to be more of a desk lamp. I would have to categorize them as more of a reading light. They are adjustable and can be bright, but only lights a small area.
