Whoever cut the hole for our bath vent made it so uneven! This vent fits perfect because of the wide trim! These registers fit perfectly and are exactly the color I needed to match other household hardware. They look nice and are an upgrade from the plain registers in the house. The only downside is the plastic slider to open/close the register, although it slides very easy. With care, the registers should last many years and well worth the money. The face is durable metal and does protect the inner plastic mechanism. I bought them to replace old registers, some of which were rusted. I could have purchased the usual boring style in a similar color to the ones in use - for the same price as these pretty ones. The plastic moving parts are rust proof, so even that feature is a bonus in my humid region. I am excited to get these registers installed in all my floor vents. ... show more

Sorry for the pun, but I was being honest. These things look great! We just redid our floors and we're looking for something sleek and black, and these fit the bill accordingly. Super durable, and and don't scratch easily...or at all actually. I love them!

One register was missing after having oak floors installed. It was right by my bed and it acted like a black hole. If anything fell, it somehow went directly in the hole. I was just getting a replacement, but we like this so well I’ve bought 6 so far. Air flow is great, easy to shut off (and closes off very well) but, the best part is they look stunning! Got chrome for bathroom, the brushed bronze for my room and antique copper for the other registers downstairs. Looks so nice with red oak and much better looking than the old ones. Best thing I’ve bought in a while! I wouldn’t jump up and down on one foot on it, but so far none have bent or broke with normal use. Love! ... show more

This vent is better than the plastic ones that you can't step on. This vent is very classy. It is in the bathroom so we needed something very rigid. It does well. It is right outside out of shower and seems to be holding up well to being stepped on. The color is a pure black and looks great.

After seeing these in my daughter's home, I knew it was time to replace our rusty, dated floor registers. They are very stylish and match the Craftsman theme of our home! The metal finish is lovely in both the bronze and nickel versions I purchased. I was surprised that the black part underneath is thin plastic. They can be easily opened and closed when in place, but the mechanism feels a bit flimsy. For example, when not in place, the vents open and close by just tilting the register. This should not be an issue when they are placed in the floor, however, but I would be concerned if the open/close mechanism was used frequently. I ordered seven of these and the black part was not attached to the metal part on one. I think I finally reattached it properly, but I can't be sure. I am still giving these 5 stars because the appearance of the floor registers is just perfect! ... show more
