This water filter fits perfectly in my DeLonghi magnifico evo machine. It lasts for three months, using filtered water from my fridge and not tap water. If you use tap water it will not last as long. I follow the instructions on the box to properly place it in my water tank and works great!

Interesting filter. Doing some research, filter is good for about 50 litres of water. Not sure how the machine knows the filter should be replaced. Does it work measuring the volume of water the passes thru the filter over time and then says reset? or is based on time? As it is described as a water softening filter, would be especially good for those that have hard water. The cost is not cheap, but neither is the machine that it fits in.. Bottom line, I run the filter much longer than than when the machine prompts for a new filter, as having no problems with hard water. Can't tell the difference between an old filter and a new filter., but feel that bottled water is costly environmentally and moneywise. Also not sure if using the filter, the machine would actually need less decalcifying cycles or the heating block might last longer. In any event, great cup of coffee from the machine, overall worth it to me to get the maximum performance out of the coffee maker. ... show more

    • Works Great But Doesn't Stop Descaling

We already have soft water and this filter works great. I was under impression it might help with machine not having to be descaled, but I have a feeling the machine has an automatic maintenance schedule forcing a descale regardless of having a new filter or not.
