I wrapped one around each railing on our front step, then tucked the wire under our hydrangeas and set each solar panel in a nice sunny spot. This took perhaps a hour. The wire was very compliant and I only had to tape a few spots. The sets have survived all sorts of weather without problems, including absolute downpours of rain. December was okay, but there was a lot of January where we simply didn't have enough sunlight for the lights to function. (I understand, because there was also insufficient sunlight for me to function, ayyy, seasonal affective disorder joke!) February is much better, the lights are strong and beautiful every night. I was only planning on keeping them on for Dec/Jan, but they look so nice I don't want to take them down! The lights are so nice and small, you can still grab the railings as usual. They just look really charming now. People have asked me where to buy them a few times and I was happy to share! These are so cheap, they're accessible to practically anyone with adequate sun! Or, I suppose, if you felt so inclined, a nice flashlight and a lot of free time. ... show more

If you want LED lights for Christmas or perhaps to illuminate your house. These LED lights are recharged with solar panels, which by the way are very small. The lights have many light modes but they do not illuminate as much as other lights. The bad thing is that if it doesn't get a lot of sun they will recharge less and may not last all night. They are very good but they are small and if you are not careful you can break them easily. ... show more

This deer belonged to my mother, it's very old and the lights on it no longer worked and it had to be near an outlet to plug them in. I decided to replace them with solar lights and these fairy light were so easy to wrap around it and it's so pretty!

The lights have been shining fine (more of a blue look to them than white) but they won’t stay on the same mode. I’ve tried to change the mode to just have them stay on constantly but after a few nights, it changes to a random setting and my lights are dancing rather than staying on. And I’m not changing the mode. It’s annoying to have to constantly go out and push the mode back again. Not sure why this happens? ... show more
