worth it if you want to see something twinkle in the night The 1st thing to remember is that the unit MUST BE TURNED ON for the solar array to charge the battery. So if you turn it off at night, you must turn it back on it the morning for them to charge. Next - wow, how did they every wind all that wire on that tiny card? And - i'm sure there is a better way to unwind it and string them than what i did. Be careful, as the wire is stiff and wants to kink - maybe get a friend to hold one end... They do work good, rain or not, however, these must be in the direct sunlight for maximum usage. If they are not in direct sunlight all day, they may only last for four or five hours during the night. Over all, it is a great product for the price and hassle free (no plugging in).

Works as advertised. Charges and stays on all night. I have lots of sun though. I would suggest the retailer wrap the cord from the opposite end though. I took one star away for this. The way it is wrapped you can’t first place your solar panel the distance away that you need to in order to make sure you leave enough cord for that. So I unwrapped each one and re wrapped it the correct way before I started laying it out in my tree. ... show more

I only installed these an hour before dawn so I thought it wasn’t gonna be bright enough given the time it was charged but they really did light up my little palm tree and I loved every bit of it.
