    • Just buy it if you need to replace ball joints
Have replaced ball joints in the past with a hydraulic press and a bunch of monkey motion to fit the parts in the press. Things can get out of hand pretty quickly with the forces in play with hydraulic presses that can lead to ball socket deformation. Bought this tool and replaced all 4 ball joints in a 78 CJ7 Dana 30 and all 4 joints in a 78 F250 high pinion Dana 44. Worked surprisingly well and much faster than monkeying around with the press setup. Nice to have a set of collars and spacers for other projects too. ... show more

Threads start to strip out before ball joint seats. Half the cups are too small half are way too big. The head started to round out before could press in the new one. One cup bent.
