Description

This adjustable beam floor lamp by daylight24 offers brighter and whiter natural daylight so you can see colors as they truly are with improved contrast and clarity. Instead of incandescent yellow colored light, this type of lighting allows you the benefits of being outside on a beautiful day. The adjustable beam LED floor lamp has a unique pull shade that adjusts the beam of light from 3-Inch to 33-Inch at a distance of 12-Inch. As the light beam reduces in size, the light output intensity increases. Floor lamp has an adjustable gooseneck so you can position the light where you need it. Lamp is in a brushed steel finish with an on/off toggle switch. Uses one 5-Watt high output LED bulb that is housed by a anodized aluminum shade. Lamp stands 65-Inch tall. Patent pending. I bought this lamp as a task lamp for my scroll saw. My previous lamps were more of a pain than anything and never seemed to stay put in the position that I set them. The head was also a large 8-inch reflector which always got in the way. Now this LED gooseneck lamp is perfect! The gooseneck flexes into any position and stays where I set it. The small lamp head is unobtrusive and doesn't block my view or get in the workspace where my hands and arms move. The LED is bright and can be focused into different size beams to illuminate all or a portion of the workspace. Also, since it's an LED, you don't get burned when your arm brushes across the lamp head. It's very easy to assemble and doesn't require any tools to do so. For me, this is a wonderful lamp!!! 9/2013 Almost nine months later using this lamp with my scroll saw...and I wouldn't trade it for anything!!! It's bright and unobtrusive which is a dream. Previously, I had a clamp-on lamp and it shook and clanged and got in the way and burned my arm when I got too close. Anyone doing intricate woodworking, sewing or crafts should buy this lamp. I bought this to use with a Stressless recliner chair. I wanted some direct strong lighting while reading, given my senior aging of my eyes. It turned out to be perfect. Easy to assemble; great lighting; adjustable beam is great; stability is very good and it looks like an expensive floor lamp. It works so well when reading something and being able to narrow and expand the beam is terrific. Sometimes I turn it on just to warm up myself sitting in the chair. I bought this for my wife and she has been using it as her bedside reading light for a couple months. It is a nice light and the ability to focus the beam means you can adjust the spill of the light - keep it focused brightly on your book or open up the beam for a wider / dimmer light. The head is small so it does not take up too much space and is not too noticeable - the flexible neck helps you get the light to where it needs to be. It's a nice floor lamp, perfect for reading. You can adjust the head and pinpoint the light to point to anywhere. It's also bright. It's sturdy and lightweight. The bulb is built-in. Therefore, it cannot be replaced when it burns out. You have to just dispose of the entire light! This is 2025 and we should be reusing. My wife does a lot of knitting. She is really good at it, but she has trouble counting stitches and dropping stitches once in a while as she has trouble seeing with the lamps we have in the house. But no more! This DAYLIGHT task light is simply awesome. As they said, it can be focused to a 3 inch spotlight, or spread to a two or three foot wide area light, just by slipping the lens down or up on the adjustment cylinder. The adjustment is one of those things that surprised me: It isn't threaded, or pneumatic, or anything fancy. The focusing lens housing simply slips up and down on the gooseneck cylinder because it is slightly bigger. I pointed it straight down to see if it would slip under the weight, but it stays exactly where I left it. As far as the base is concerned, it is quite heavy and sits like a squatting Bhudda statue on our medium pile rug. To kick this thing around you would have to break a toe, and I don't understand folks who said it wasn't heavy enough. Comments on other reviewers' complaints: WEIGHT OF THE BASE: Like I said, the base is quite heavy and gives excellent stability, even on pile carpet SPREAD OF LIGHT FOR READING: ? Three feet isn't enough? It is for me. Even a newspaper gets a good coverage, unless you are within less than two feet of the light itself. POLE SEGMENT THREADING: Mine fit perfectly from top to bottom. I started at the bottom, pulling the wire out as I screwed in each segment. Went together easily and fit perfectly. OVERALL STABILITY: Mine is very stable and the threaded sections appear to stay together just fine. Of course, I don't make a habit of kicking or banging the lamp a lot, any more than I would a table lamp, but my unit is very tight and secure. POWER SWITCHES/CONNECTIONS: There is a metal toggle switch on the back of that lump you see in the photo, where the gooseneck attaches to the pole, and there is an inline power connector about two feet from the base of the lamp. The power connector is fairly solid but you must remember that it can become disconnected if you pull at it. The toggle switch is mounted in metal and is solid. I have no problems with the unit we received. So. I must conclude that the manufacturer listened to his customers and corrected all the problems, or a few folk got units that missed getting a quality control inspection. Either way, by purchasing this via Amazon, it is guaranteed to work properly and be of good quality or Amazon will send you another one or refund your purchase price. That's good enough for me. I'd been looking at this light for quite some time, and finally decided to buy one despite its price tag, which I thought was a bit high. Upon receipt, I found its quality to be excellent. A nice brushed nickel finish, sturdy after assembly, bright with an adjustable beam focus, and a heavy base that keeps it securely upright.
