Changed to 5 stars as this product is worth that rating* Review Before Fix: Well we loved these lights so much! BUT.. they no longer work. Purchased them in late August, it has been 3 months and they no longer work. They won’t turn on/off with the remote and we have even tried other remotes with the same style lights. The outlet works, but not sure what the issue is ): what a bummer as we wanted them for the holidays. If the sellers reach out I will update how they handle but otherwise leaving a 2 star since they lasted 3 months alone ): We did not run them a lot either. It was about 2 days a week for a few hours.

I am so happy with these led lights. They were super easy to put up. I had ordered the DAYBETTER Led Strip Lights Smart with App Control Remote, 5050 RGB for Bedroom, Music Sync Color Changing for Room Party 200 ft (4 Rolls of 50 ft). These led lights came with a remote but using the DAYBETTER app is so much easier, all you have to do is scan the QR code download the app and done. On the DAYBETTER app there are a lot of color options that you can make and save. Also on the DAYBETTER app you can set a timer when you want your led lights to come on or off. The music sync works really well. These led lights are bright. When installing the led light please note they are super sticky on the back so when you when peel off the backing to apply them to your walls make sure you have them where you want them. I went by the instructions that came with the led lights and when I cleaned off the walls that I was applying the lights too there was no problem with them falling off. So far for the quality I love them and have had no issues. I normally order Govee led lights, I have been a customer with them for 6yrs but they are expensive and for the price of DAYBETTER led lights I really love them. DAYBETTER has gained a new customer!!

We got these for our 8 yr old son's room re-painting and decoration refresh. He was doing what most 8 yr old's do at the paint swatch area - picking extreme colors that jumped out at him. - bright blues, reds and greens...not exactly suitable for a bedroom. My wife saw these somewhere and decided to get them so he can set them to his favorite color of the day in a less permanent fashion... The GOOD: They shipped extremely fast - I received them next day. They work well and when using the app, it offers almost unlimited color gradients to fit his mood or style. The included remote control offers just basic settings and colors. The self-stick adhesive backing holds very well, almost too well (the future me is dreading the nightmare of peeling it off and having paint or drywall paper come with it when the time comes to remove them - but hey - he's only a kid once). I have no idea how anyone can say the lights fall off unless maybe they're using it on a textured surface or they stuck, unstuck and re-stuck it several times. The BAD: The absolute worst feature is that the power module only comes with a 3-1/2 foot cord. The module has to be right at the beginning of the run, which for most will be at the ceiling. I almost didn't install these for that reason. Now, I'll go out on a limb and say the vast majority of uses is to have LEDs running the perimeter of a room at ceiling level. Why would the manufacturer not add $2.00 worth of additional wire to allow the module to run down a wall from a typical 8' or 9' ft high ceiling and then have a few feet extra to reach a receptacle? OR, they should allow a longer lead to attach the module to the strip lights and allow the module to be put in a less obtrusive spot. You will most likely need a thin extension cord to reach your power module unless your perimeter is no more than 40 ft, allowing you to run LEDs down the wall and bring you closer to a receptacle. Not sure how this doesn't bother many people. I like neat, clean installations of anything...See my photos - the need for an extension cord drives me insane. Some other things to realize: Since the perimeter of his room was 49-1/2 feet (measured with a laser measurer) and the roll was said to be 50 ft, I started the run with the connector at ceiling level so I wouldn't run short. The strip must have been longer because I had about 2-1/2 feet extra. If I knew this I would've mounted the module lower so it was hidden by a door. It made it difficult to realize this because the start of the strip (male end) was on the outside of the coil and the end was inside the coil, so that seemed like the natural starting point. Additionally - we didn't need 100 ft, but "assumed" you plugged the 2nd roll (if needed) into the end of the first strip to attain 100 ft...WRONG. You don't get a "100 ft" led strip. You get two 50 ft sections that each have to connect to the controller with a separate connection. Basically, if you need 100 ft of length, the module has to be placed in the middle of your run (50 ft one direction, 50 ft the other direction). Refer to my pictures so you know what to expect with the power module placement. I have a bit of an OCD issue and hate having to use an extension cord. I picked the least noticeable area behind a door, but it still annoys me. Make sure you support the module with a small nail though its loop, otherwise it will put strain on the strip and pull-off the connector. When installing them, take your time to peel the backing just a few feet ahead of you as you go. Keep it taught and lay the strip perfectly straight to get that pin-straight look. We didn't need to shorten the strip, but if you do there are gold markings about every 6" where you can safely cut the strip. But once you cut them, the cut section cannot be used and cannot be re-attached. I mention this because some have stated they had too much left at the end of their run and rolled it up. NOTE: I purchased this item on Amazon for full price and have no affiliation to the seller. I try to write helpful, unbiased and insightful reviews because I also read reviews prior to making my own buying decisions. I notice many reviews lack helpful information, are not well written or give poor reviews based on not reading directions, failing to read the product details prior to purchasing or someone's inexperience or lack of skill. Great entry level LED strip. Bluetooth connected app controls are convenient and allow for customized segment controls, as well as timers and different creative light options with different patterns, all programmable through the app. There are a few color blips every now and then where a segment of the lights will very briefly change colors, but nothing deal breaking. I had one issue with the last set I brought. The strip failed after a month's use. I contacted the company and explained what happened, and they kindly replaced the defective strip within a few days for no charge. I appreciate a company willing to stand by their products. Bad eggs happen, and I have to say the customer service was exceptional. For the price, I have no major complaints. They don't have some features or the light density found on higher price strips. Still, the light strip has plenty going for it and can be a great DIY decorative touch.

I bought these for my dorm because they were super cheap, but they work great. I have even bought another 200 feet for my bedroom since it stay pretty dark in there even with the lights on. Since they’re so cheap, the color will be a bit off, especially in the white, green, and yellow shades. They can’t seem to get those colors quite right. However, for the price, I’d say it’s worth the trade-off. They aren’t inherently difficult to install, but because of where I was installing them, it was a bit exhausting. But do note that if you plan to put them on the wall, you really need to put a bit of painter’s tape under them so that you won’t damage the wall when you remove them. The app is pretty easy to use, and the timer automation is great. Just note that if the power goes out or they’re unplugged, you have to reset the timer since it basically factory resets the lights. The adhesive seems to be holding up pretty well. I haven’t had any issues with these lights other than where one section occasionally dims, but that’s because of how I installed them. I ran one of the 50ft rolls under my desk and one part is right where my knee sometimes rests, and that messes with a kink in the strip that I made, and that just interrupts the power slightly. So try not to make any sharp turned with the lights, do gradual turns.

I really tried with this company. I have my house hooked up to Tuya Smart. Inside the app, they promote items that supposedly work with Tuya. I ordered a set of SMD 5050 as they were listed on Tuya, I even searched for Wifi LED strip lights separately, and the SMD 5050 popped up. I ordered, installed, and finally realized, they don't work with wifi. Amazon graciously refunded me, and also let me keep the lights because I told them there's no way I'm getting the adhesive cover back on the lights to return, and then they would just go in the trash anyways. So I uninstalled them from their location and moved them to my daughter's room. I then ordered these "Smart" lights, also a recommendation from Tuya. This time, I ordered 4 units as I want to get my house lit up and really love the idea of the IC function. Biggest mistake. Fooled me twice. Still DOES NOT connect to wifi. The bluetooth is proprietary to THEIR app, Daybetter. Can't control them with Tuya. Tried reaching out to Daybetter customer service and have gotten crickets. Return initiated. Also, during my short time installing the first package of these RGBIC lights, I struggled to get the adhesive backing off and then I VERY EASILY tore the strip about 4 ft from the end and ended up losing that section. Really, REALLY low quality product here. Be aware that the power adapter that they include makes a very high pitch frequency when plugged in and the lights are not on, when the lights aren't connected, and when you use "fade", "flash" or "jump". This is due to cheap components in the adapter. It also gets very hot, very fast which is highly concerning and not something I'm going to gamble burning my house down over. (And for anyone concerned that I installed this terrible product in my daughter's room with this overheating issue, I ordered a separate power adapter that is actually worth the $6.97 I paid for and the SMD 5050 lights work as intended now with no overheating and no high frequency sound) Don't be like me, just buy something better quality, (like I will be now) because when I think of cheap amazon crap, this is exactly what I imagine.
