Well thought out, portable, tuned nicely to 9" skillet. Won't be disappointed, for primary and backup. I also tried as a heater and on low settings worked well 2 to 3 man tent. It resist rain or drizzle well. I would add a cover, and leveling feet with nice knurled turns knobs. Very rain resistant just don't let water get underneath or stand with your feet in water during use.. ... show more

The item arrived on time and performed very well. I like the glass cook tops as they are easy to clean and allow the unit to always look fresh. The only disappointment was the unit was a bit off balance. I torn off a piece of cardboard from the box and placed it under one leg and then it was perfect. If you want to fry eggs or stir fry veggies, this unit is ok, but if you want to boil a pot of water, fill ever it. Even on the “high” setting, this hot plate keeps clicking off and then back on and just won’t stay hot enough for bigger jobs.

I needed this to cook certain things like beans very low. My gas stove didn't have a low enough setting. This did the trick and also works for high temperatures too, just a great extra burner. It's very lightweight too.
